DUDE!.... WOW!.... AMAZING ON SO MANY DIFFERENT LEVELS.... i did the final lost scene to the theme song from the movie sunshine but this totally kicks my videos ass.... WELL DONE SIR, WELL DONE
@jayharshaw I hate to contradict you, but I just watched your video and it's absolutely fantastic. Sent shivers down my spine. It was every bit as great as this, and this was amazing.
Love the vid! Now all you need to edit is the final scene of Inception when they land in LA to the music of Lost LA X when Oceanic lands in LA. Wouldn't that be something? Inception + Michael Giacchino's music = Pure bliss
I know people like the tandem of Zimmer and Howard on the Batman films... but put together Zimmer's action pieces with Giacchino's emotional character tones
I loved the way you edited Hans Zimmer masterpiece in this scene. It goes to show how important background music is in movies. You actually felt (emotionally) what was happening.
Wow....huge Pearl Harbor flashback for this piece.... it shares ALOT of similarities. The rest of the soundtrack does not though. This piece however does....a little too much....but it's still a great piece of music.
It's like a mixture of Pearl Harbor and Inception. 50/50 - still good though!
Okay, now that I've seen Inception, I feel I can give a proper comment on this video. That movie is now my new favorite movie as well, I loved everything about it. Especially the music. It was fantastic. Combining these two... perfection. My two favorite things, LOST and Inception. WOW. So Secretneo... does the top stop spinning?
i believe it does, the evidence is there to back it up if you look close...the actual actors for the children are 2 years older in the final scene, and he only wears his wedding ring in the dream, not at the end. :)
did the part about "the mark's" daddy issues and going to LA on a flight from sydney for the funeral ring any bells? ;)
I believe it does too!!! Because of those reasons and just because it would suck if the whole movie had been a dream.
And I hadn't thought of those LOST connections!! I mostly just saw the similarity in the endings. Like, they both left you to draw your own conclusions... in Inception you had to decide if it was real or not, and in LOST you had to decide where they were going/what those who got off the island did with the rest of their lives. Very good writing if you ask me. :)
@secretneo1 Not enough to disregard the continuous spinning top at the end. My best counterargument is to analyze how the movie begins. Can you track how the movie begins? You can't! Just like in a dream!
Great combination of soundtracks. The Zimmer score nearly fits perfectly, although Michael Giacchino's score fits perfectly. Giving Zimmer the chance to score this last scene of Lost, I'm sure he could have come up with something as great as Michael Giacchino. Nice job dude!
Shortly after I had finished Inception, I thought back to this music and thought it would have gone absolutely perfect with the ending of LOST. Well done.
i think he goes back into the dream so he can be with his kids.
