I was once the Executive Housekeeper in this nice ship,nice crew too, I miss the ship though but we have to move on and watching the video I can really feel how they reacted (i mean the passengers, crewand staff). It was a big mess after all, in all the departments. But for sure everybody were secured. I worked for 17 years in this prestigious company but i worked more years in the Black Prince and sad to say it was sold last October, 2009. I miss Black Prince and Black Watch.

I was working for 3 years onboard the above ship 1973/6 when she was the Royal Viking Star and only on a few occasions did we encounter rough seas like those. My sympathy goes to the passengers who are not used to bad weather and also do not expect it.

Si, el Black Watch entró por el canal de Seixo Branco y a su estribor quedaban las olas rompiendo en el banco de Xacentes. Buena observación, estupendas para hacer surf,jejeje. Saludos

We were also on board on deck 7 what a mess I really thought this is it !!!! Good video but it doesnt do it justice it felt a lot worse My wife was on the floor and I clung on to a pillar which was all that was available.When we could go to our cabin the devestation was even worse I cant tell you what happened to the Famous Grouse !!!!!!!!!!Something to write about I am sure that interior videos will appear as lots were taken after the event.

I was on board at the time, outside on deck 8. The Captain had warned us of sudden movements but the angle of the roll took us by surprise. Lots of tables and chairs sliding about and the noise of stuff falling over and breaking accompanied by screams from passengers. Was scary!! Felt like capsize! Total destruction in the shops on the Main Deck, everything tipped onto the floor. Afterwards the Captain said we'd been hit by 6m (20ft) waves. Quite an experience.

Es una "vieja dama" que seguirá navegando unos años más, precioso barco. No tuvo tanta suerte el "Saga Rose", hoy salió de A Coruña hacia Southampton en su último viaje antes de ser, probablemente, desguazado.
