I looked at the Cummins marine site and they have a QSB 5.9 that makes 425 HP. That would be quite the upgrade from the stock Perkins 165 HP!!

That is impressive! I think 14-16 kts would be fast for a trawler. At 20 kts it is flying! I think that would be about 23 MPH.

The engine is a Cummins QSB 5.9 which is 305 HP, and it has ZF 220 1.5 gear.

I have had my Mitsubisi 200HP that came with my MS34 up to 16.9 kts at 2640 RPM right after I put it back in the water with new bottom paint.
20 kts is really something!
