  • And your coffee is cold. No bueno. The whole point of Latt´e art is hand control and manual precision. This is why etching is stupid also... "hey let me play with your drink, put a toothpick in it for a while" Cool, but utterly pointless and has no place in a real coffee anything.

  • Amazing, but a little slow. I figure it's just a prototype and the real printer will be speed up.

  • I don't see the reason why it is useful, but it does look awesome!

  • my latte can be served in 30 seconds

  • not a single duck was given that day

  • my latte can make 3d images ;)

  • i wish...

  • By the time that is done printing the latte will have started to cool down.

  • very cool, although im sure you could just get a stensil and dust cocoa over it for essentially the same effect. well atleast for the words.

  • i am a human not a machine...

  • it's just a printer!!!!!

    shit!!!!!!

  • eh das fertig is is mein kaffee kalt-..-

  • I don't want that on my latte. Just give it to me bare, hot and foamy.

  • Why would you wait so long for 'art' on your latte? By the time you get it, it'd be cold. But the idea is cool.

  • the time it will take to print on the coffee, the coffee will no longer be hot.

  • @aabulela if u'd been to cafe like starbucks or coffee bean, their coffee are usually served at very high temperatures. coffee bean for example, serves coffee up to 120 deg C. our tongue accepts temperature of usually 70 deg C. bt to most cafe, coffee of 80 deg C (which is HOTTT) is considered by them as "cold" coffee. so there isnt such thing as a "no longer hot" coffee considering that this takes up only a few mins. manual coffee art takes some time too if u have nv tried it before.

  • It's not an art anymore when machinery steps in! Latte should be done by people to show their creativity! But still, quite interesting..

  • This is so stupid! By the time it's done latte (not latto) is ice cold! What a waste of money!

  • @tburgarian exactly! i was now about to say the same thing! lol

  • hmm... not bad but not aweome either :P

  • takes too long

  • Comment removed

  • it is spells latto not "latte" lol

  • @savedforlife1 it is latte alright

  • I can't believe how much a Cup o' Joe costs these days, I've been roasting at home, got some good tips from coffeeloverstipsandtricks (.) com

  • that's awesome!

  • i hate robots!

  • It take so long that the coffe is cold.

  • Te cool voor woorden!!

  • Cold coffee anyone?

  • WHY

  • WHY

  • How much this machine? And we how to buy?

  • i have never seen my latte do that..

but it'd be super awsome if it could! :D

  • erco is king, thats not even coffe. are you gay or are you just a regular homosexual?

  • why not turn this into mass production and make cash?

  • i think this is good. my coffee is usually too hot, and i wouldnt mind the giggle everytime i get a cup. plus by the time its done printing, it should be still hot, but not on fire :)

  • Read the description, its a PROTOTYPE, so keep the comments about "The coffee will be cold by the time it's finished" to yourself please, and just enjoy the video

  • That's so cool. Does it do different patterns?

  • Until the printing is done the coffee will be frozen!

  • Comment removed

  • Hahah! WOW

  • and when it will be finished?? until then everything is ice cold!

  • LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL XD

just watch your cup ...you don't have to drink it...keep it for memory LOOOOOOOOOOL XD

  • absolutely awesome... but 3 minutes for a spoon full of caramel is too long! great concept though!

  • It's super idea, but 3 minutes for coffe? it's toooo long...:/

  • It could work fast if it printed the whole thing with 1 stamp

  • people at MIT have way too much time on their hands. Could you help me out instead please?

  • Since when does coffee go from being hot to completely cold in three minutes? By the time the printer finishes, the coffee will have cooled just enough to be able to drink it...

  • toooooooooooooooooo much time probably the cofee is cold right now :)))) after 3 min

  • Okay seriously, if you think coffee gets cold in three minutes there's something wrong with you! It takes a long time for coffee to get cold after being made, even more so if you make it extra hot. (I should know, I work in at Costa Coffee)

  • it should be faster bcoz coffee gets cold in this long time, but great Idea

  • 3 minutes for a coffee??? Ahahahahahahaha!

  • yes is nice but i think people like hot coffes hahahah !!! to much time dude!!!

  • How nice !! : )

  • koooooooooooooool

  • no my latte cannot do that

  • Even if it got cold, which I doubt, one could just put the cup on a heating surface. Durr. Durr hurrr...

  • Wow. If only Starbucks did this when you bought a latte! Well... maybe not, would definitely take ages.

  • lol, looks like teh burger king. =P

  • While it's printing out some shitty design, the coffee has gone cold.

  • Hey wait look at the description; OH MY GOD its a prototype. Have fun with your total lack of reading skills.

  • id like to see a whole van gogh be done on a latte.

  • the time that this machine write on it, you will take you cappucino COLD!!

  • no, but does it taste good?

  • it's LATTE, not LATTO!

  • It does say "latte."

  • What kind of tool is that and, where can you purchase it?

  • friking slow, by the time thats done the damn thing will be ice cold!!!

  • Interesting, but a little slow. That Latte is half cold by the time this printer is done.

  • I can do this freehand.

  • Would love to see that Ordodk. Post a response to the video!

  • @ordodk i will love to see that please

  • The downside is the ink is toxic.

  • It prints using either non-toxic brown ink, or (at least one of them) uses a strong coffee to print with.

  • its caramel

  • its just food colouring.

  • Seen it before, but still fun to watch.

  • It's art that you drink!

  • I have made something for something similar to this before, it was neat.

  • I once saw a something for something and it was really cool.

Perhaps it was the same thing.

  • For all who wants just hot coffee, you should imagine how much work he done to make it real.. I suppose nobody will understand as long as write own software and see how much work has to be done.. but remember in this case its not just software.. great done job guys, respect :)

  • waaauuw, thats soo nicee! (L)

  • the first part only took about 30sec... that seems like a reasonable amount of time.

  • Sweet!

  • it seems to be done in 3 minutes. just heat the milk to a bit over 70 and you can scull the coffee once the printing is done. the proper temperature for a decent coffee is the one where you can drink the whole thing in 1 gulp and not burn your tongue.

  • No it can't. But I wish it did, lol.

  • I've got your product name: PLATTE! Or Plotté.

  • ahhh si que son unos maestros para esto del latte art

  • still, i want hot coffee, rather than decorated COLD coffee..

  • @bebenemie wow...as a barista... NO. do some research. I agree this printer does take a long time. but a basic free pour latte art is quick. and EVERYONE knows you eat/drink with your eyes first:)

  • stupid...

At least your not building guns so i'll give you that.

  • Very cool!

  • It's a cool concept but by the time you get done, the person's coffee would be cold. Not to mention, in our stupid "Get-It-Now" American society, people might not be willing to wait the extra three minutes to get their coffee. Yeah, I know it's only three minutes, but you know how people are!!! :^P

  • im sure they will make this faster and faster, so they can do it under half a minute... or less. look at what printers nowadays can do, its amazing :)

  • yeah, but i belive that people who are going to their jobs early in the morning wouldnt even notice if their coffe was "printed" or "normal", so starbuck's wouldnt make much money on this invention here. i think, that rather small coffehouses, that people go into in the evening with their women, and want to drink great coffe, chill out and listen to some jazz would buy machines like that.

  • come on guys, this printer is not for starbucks or moxie java. it is for french style cafes.

  • cool...

    めっちゃすごいわ~でももうちょっと速度が早いといいね。

  • Hay bro, how much would you charge me to make me one? as i have a small coffee shop

  • verr ycool hey whats the face drawn on the coffee?

  • it's from David's Bellot SVG cards site

  • luv youre new video

  • By the time this is finished my drink will be cold

  • To answer your question... no, it can't... and that is bad :o(

Migth be good for different reasons ;o)

Great idea and even better presentation :o)
