  • I love this car. My dad had one and I remember it ran softly at -20degC after being left for months.

  • The BEST 504 for me....the "1999 Argentinian 504"...

  • I never saw nor heard of a car for "whom" there was so much love and respect in the HEARTS of owners, mechanics and the public at large as for the Peugeot 504!Even the govt of Kenya was in love;cabinet, armed forces,police..!& bank robbers...When the imbecile Marshalls E.Af LTD halted local assembly in spite of purchase orders(& motor tax reductions!!!) from even the govt there was an public outcry.PEUGEOT said it sacked them for incompetence while to save face they said they quit.We still mourn.

  • the Europe:1968-1983 Argentina: 1969-1999 China: 1979-1997 Nigeria: 1968-2005 Kenya: 1968-2004 Peugeot 504 was assembled in Sochaux, France Canton, China Los Andes, Chile Buenos Aires, Argentina Kaduna, Nigeria Mombasa, Kenya Thames, New Zealand Melbourne, Australia La Marsa, Tunisia
  • My family had one of these cars. It was one of the nicest cars we ever had. We had it in 1991 it was a 1978 model old car but went well.

  • This was my car when I was a youth.

    un autaso!

    Muy bueno el video!

  • Wow, that's a good looking Peugeot; much better than todays cars.

  • hail 504 the pretty monster

  • best car i had driven..i have had 3 5o4s i would not mind another if i find one..just love it.......

  • SUPERB motor car. One of the World's GREAT cars.

  • I lived in Nigeria for 8 years and they were still assembling this car and I have nothing but respect for this workhorse. It put up with very bad roads, fuel with more water in it than anything else and generic motor oil sold in Coca Cola bottles. I've seen it do things that would give a Range Rover nightmares. Not to mention a smooth ride and an A/C that could give you frostbite. It's simplicity also made it very easy to maintain. An all round good car.

  • @armand1280 YES, IS A VERY PRACTICE AN STRONG CAR, BUT IS NOT THE BEST CAR, MAYBE MERCEDES W123 IS ONE OF THE BEST CAR IN THE HISTORY. IS A TANKCAR AND VERY BEATUTIFUL AND LUXURY.

WHAT IS YOUR OPINION? I FROM ARGENTINA, MY ENGLISH IS VERY POOR.

  • @TheNICKMAGIC You're right about that model of Mercedes. It was also very common in Nigeria and shared similar strengths. The Mercedes was very refined compared to the 504. I used to say that the W123 was like driving down the road in an indestructable, yet comfy, sofa. And don't worry about your English. It's not bad for a second language.

  • @armand1280 THANKS FOR YOU RESPUEST, DO YOU NOT SPEAK SOME CASTELLANO?. IF YOU WISH VIEW MY MERCEDES AND MY FORD TAUNUS ENTER IN MY FACE BOOK. NICK GALARD.

UN ABRAZO DESDE ARGENTINA PARA TI, MI PADRE SE LLAMA ARMANDO TAMBIEN.

  • I had a 504 for 25 years .

    This car is very strong.

Once i removed a heavy truck of 30 tons from mud with this CAR !!!!!

  • I have a friend from Castellón (Spain) who has a Peugeot 504 GL made in Vigo (Galiza - Spain). That car is a 504 1800 GL.

  • we had a 1975 sedan...fantastic car...only thing better would be a Citroen DS or ID :)

  • My dad just bought a 60s model 504 to repair. It took 4 people to get it started, but once it was started, it went really well, and I was amazed at how smooth they are to ride it. I absolutely love dad's new 504!

  • The Peugoet 504 is still in poduction in Kenya for the East African Market they are updated with Aircon,Alarm System etc

  • I love that car,my dad loved it!

  • @KiBETChannel ...My father had one while we lived in Kenya in the 80s. I remember the car had a surprising smooth ride....no heavy jarring or banging over relatively bad tarmac at times.

  • @KiBETChannel ended in 2006

  • Hello! do you guys need some more pictures of a rolling 504 looking as new as it was on the first day? my father as a blue one... tell me something!

  • Best French car ever made.

Not as stylish as the Citroen DS, but much more sturdy and relyable and just as comfortable.

    Quality !

  • I drove a 75 sedan all over Europe and the British isles in 77, 78 and 79 much of it towing a caravan. A wonderful comfortable car

  • Whatch my tribute to the 405!

  • My father had the sedan. I always thought the cabriolet would've been fun, but they stopped selling them here in the US.

  • Frenchs cars hierarchy

    Renault is poor cousin

    Citroen is bum cousin (artist)

    Peugeot is the big brother

  • this cars for ride Not for crash..

  • If you wanted French you could also have the Citroen CX, okay it was not always relayable, but my favorit.

    Or the Renault 12.

My list would be 1 Citroen CX, 2 Renault 12, 3 Peugeot 504.

I think the 405 is together with the 205 most importand cars for Peugeot EVVER.

These 2 cars saved the brand in a bad time.

  • Bro!You are forgetting the Renault 16 and the 30!(and the list could go on and on..)Fact is,`60&`70`s french cars are really cool.

  • Okay they made more fun cars my top 3 of 3

    Citroen- 1 CX, 2 Visa, 3 BX

    Renault- 1=5, 2=12, 3=25 ( yeah 80s not 70s )

    Peugeot- 1 205, 2 405, 3 504/505 familiale ( BIG station wagons )

  • Yes bro.Agreed.I`d love to have a cx too.I just can`t decide,GTI or Prestige.(or an R12 Gordini..)At the moment i`m drivin a 406,quite like it,but i`m trying to find a Renault Safrane.V6 of course..

  • Hey i got my driving license in a 406.

I also would love a Citroen Visa Chrono

  • I own a 405 and certainly I agree with you! But i preffer my 98' 605!

Whatch my tribute to the 405, mine is the Green one with the Plate IO-2318!

  • @Weigelfilm A very good car and almost unbreakable ..My mate tried to blow the engine up in a temper ...over a money matter ..He lodged a piece of wood under the accelerator pedal outside a nightclub in the eighties ...he had two sets of keys and locked it leaving it to rev ..it screamed away until it ran out of petrol and this was a high mileage car ....He drove it home the next morning and i was in shock to see it....great car......

  • @korranda

i drove this car back in Indonesia and rear ended a stopped truck at 80 kmh, destroyed the peugeot but i'm still here ,whats wrong with the safety rating?

  • @josur Do your research. the cage just falls apart

  • @korranda Seriously.....the car was born in 1968 not 2008. Was a tough as an Ox and mobilised Africa. It was nick named "King of the road". So your comment about safety ratings are pretty much pointless. If it's structural integrity was so bad it would not have become the world car it's so famous for being.

    Anyway, what's YOUR 'best car'?

  • @korranda go to hell.504 IS King of the Road! If you don't know it its your loss!!

  • @korranda sorry, but get a life, moron

  • Nice. It was also manufactured in Spain from '78 to '80.

  • What is song?

  • Song is "I feel love" from Donna Summer.

  • Not anymore it's not.

  • Mechanical desing gear box for Peugeot 504 is works Czech engineer Petr Hrdlicka.

  • @Weigelfilm

i was born and raised in Egypt, very glad to see this car on video like this, these cars are very respected in egypt, it reminds me of my childhood, they were used as passenger and comercial ,drivers used em as taxi and for long travels because they run and withstand the egyptian deserts heat , the 504 is very common to my eyes and i been in them in taxis in the late 1980th and as far as 1999, i dont think the new ones will be as great as the older ones,
