If you look at what he's actually saying I agree with him. Striking is pointless and public servants get paid too much, get too many benefits and do half as much work as everybody else. Because he's in favour of the strikes and was the only person speaking about the matter, there was no other guest to contradict his views and give the BBC the balance they wanted. So as a joke he said "Well i'll provide the balance then - OTT joke against the strikes"
