The reason why other people laughed is because they did not perceive sherry davis' acts to be particularly hostile or brutal. The teacher herself probably grew up in a rough neighborhood and understood how to deal with bullies. The reason why other people laughed is because they did not perceive sherry davis' acts to be particularly hostile or brutal. The teacher herself probably grew up in a rough neighborhood and understood how to deal with bullies. I'm sure that the kid will suffer no long lasting embarrassment or humiliation and he certainly did not suffer any serious injuries or any visible bruises except to his ego, which was sherry davis' intention in the first place.

@Tuberoth: It doesn't matter what the kid did. A teacher has NO right to assault a student like that. Yeah, the kid might have been doing something he shouldn't have, but Teachers are SUPPOSED to be setting an example. By beating this kid, all the (are we calling her a teacher?) did was show the kids that 's Okay to hit someone when they're mad.
