It seems like it could be similar to playing a theremin and your guitar at once. I've spent a long time working on, and I'm still continuing to work on my right hand technique to use something like this. Great idea just not as practical as a standard wah pedal.
this thing is awesome, its like an ebow on steroids. yes its midi but so what? there is so much potential to do some crazy shit with this. music is experimentation, dont box yourself in to preconceived notions
Hey Source Audio! I am not ashamed to say I just put one on order with my credit card and I hope it goes through. This baby will be used to enhance some experiments I have with Native American Flutes. I have a prototype flute that I can route into my entire guitar rig. This will give me more control and style into the idea of throwing in both a direct microphone mix, and a digital mix. Killer stuff.
@sourceaudioeffects Well of course I will, however the card got declined but I will be getting one sometime soon. I guess I will have to work harder for it. I think this is such a great tool and I can't wait to get my hands on one.
This crap represents everything that's wrong with guitar today. Guitar is no longer about putting the work into expressing yourself musically, but instead is about creating novel sounds that require no talent to produce with pedals. What a shame..
@WithExtremePrejudice, not necessarily, Funk, blues, jazz, and even rock/metal musicians who are serious can expand with their creativity, look at Hendrix, he was the first to link pedals together, and pioneered the use of the expressive wah-wah foot pedal.
@WithExtremePrejudice On the contrary, effects have been part of music for a long time. I mean come on, Wah pedals were used and look at what they have done. If you don't like it, don't buy it.
@sabrefang0 Wah pedals have been used for a long time, but they are not the central defining feature of the music. You are like a child not to understand this.
@WithExtremePrejudice Listen to you talking shit man. I said nothing pertaining to it being the "Defining Feature". Clearly you have no idea what I understand and what I don't understand. What I think you need to do kind sir, is take your comment and rethink what you say. It's ok to counter what I say, however your comment was simply pointless. One important thing I need to point out to you is music is music no matter what. Talent is writing music period. Effects or not.
@sabrefang0 Clearly you have no idea what you're talking about. That's the problem with music nowdays -- you and all these other young kids don't know what music is all about, you all think it's about "crazy effects" and stupid useless pedals. This doesn't require any talent.
@WithExtremePrejudice Dude once again pointless post. Just so you know Mr. Knowitall but I play Native American World Fusion. I barely touch effects in my music and you are nothing but a shit talker. You can't even make a valid argument. All you are doing is assuming and putting words in my mouth. Listen to the words "You All". You're too general and not once did I say it's about "Crazy Effects". You just have a major grudge going on and talk out of your ass. You're not even reading what I say.
@WithExtremePrejudice Oh and by the way. When I said I play Native American World Fusion, I mean "Music". All I use are instruments that I save up my money, learn to play, and play. Acoustic guitar, native american flute, djembe, bongos, and other instruments from different cultures. Oh hey look you want proof I dare you to listen. Search up The Way Of The Wolf on Reverbnation. Maybe for once you can actually talk shit with some actual reasonable knowledge of what I make.
@lukaszSSS I'm with you on this shit. like the volume swell, you can do that just using the fucking volume knob, it's more aunthentic to me instead some plastic ring on your finger doing it for you. when the swells done by your hand knob, you have to feel the music and the timing. this ring, BLOWS.

@lukaszSSS why not enhancing? The Hot Hand builds on top of what the guitar already is. It does not take away anything.
