The French people wont have a choice about what they model their system around since it has been created by the British, and Americans after they rebuilt France in WW2. The Nazi system would have made France one of the most productive countries in Europe, and greatly improved the lives of the French people believe it or not. I am not a Nazi supporter, but I see how their economic policy's could have helped to prevent these problems that are now happening in Europe under the British banks rule.
this piece is skirting the fact that the "youth" in the banlieus who were protesting "racism" were actually muslim immigrants who refuse to assimilate. that's the actual problem.
@karlsmith00 And of course you have several authoritative souces supporting your position that the muslims in France refuse to assimilate so I am interested in reading them so please present those reports and analysis.
@karlsmith00 A good example of how much americans are such pussies is when the economic, bank and auto crises hit they just said oh well but the Greeks, French and many other European peoples went and go to the street to battle the police.
@karlsmith00 YOU got me there, understanding how much americans are manipulated by economics that powerful people use against us is crazy for an american living in Paris like me.
That reporter is a joke and so immature when she makes the connection between youth having employment problems and the civil activism. It has always been difficult for the youth to get the experience needed to get good work, it just takes a few years anywhere. But it could be made easier and that is what is great about France, the people force change. Demostration and violence have to be used to change any govt. The French actually use it, americans sit and cry
@Marly61 sure the french "force" change. what a joke. how can you force change when you barely work and vacation so much?
the french are experts at not working and whining. that's why the country is a mess. americans know how to work, we don't sit and cry. maybe the economy is going through problems, but we'll recover. we have before. we don't work only 35 hours a week, and that's how it'll happen.
@karlsmith00 I hope the french work force does not degrade itself to industrialized world's lowest. They work so much harder then americans per hour of output. Americans have no civilian life or personal life that is why they are the most hated country in the world because all they know is business not morality as a result of working the longest hours as their standards of living are decreasing and have decreased below The Netherlands, Norway, and the US's quality of life is usually low to
@karlsmith00 You are right, american do work hard at making rich elites richier, how stupid is that, while their own standards of lving or quality of life have been decreasing for 30 years. Countries that are more socialist for the people have already passed the US's standard of living with working alot less hours as they value family, children and morality more which is totally lacking in the US. The Netherlands, Norway, France have all passed the US's standard of living or quality of life
do you see what this video is about???? these countries' systems are completely falling apart, worse even than in the US. they have extremely high taxes, huge pensions, low working hours, long vacations times. they're governments are bankrupt, and how they're changing everything because they can't live this way anymore.
have you even been to europe? do you know what it is going in their governments? you have no clue.
@karlsmith00 provide any source of yours saying the countries we are talking about are falling apart. Remember we are not talking about Greece, Spain, Ireland or Portugal.
@karlsmith00 Oh shit, do you understand that the higher taxes in these countries actually prevented them from dropping economically as bad as the US? Taxes in these countries are used as a method of redistributing wealth to the average citizen which maintains consumption levels that would be far lower without these taxes as in the US. Damn you're a typical dumb fuck american. I said americans work hard but no where near as hard as people in these countries.
@karlsmith00 You are why Americans are consider such world assholes. If you adjust per capita GDP for the time off that the French take for all various reasons GDP in France is higher. Let me quess, you actually believe there is a problem with Social Security in the US? Do you know how many decades they have been saying what you are saying about France? I am laughing my ass off. Do you even understand the purpose of the policies being implemented in Greece have nothing to do with what is needed
@Marly61 let me guess--you're just a loser here in america, which is why you are so whiny and stupid. you have no clue about what is the most hated country in the world.
like france is loved by everyone. please. just shut up. why are the dumbest people always the most confident?
go live in the netherlands if you think it's so great. go collect welfare like all the muslim immigrants do, and don't work a day in your life.
@karlsmith00 I went to live in France asshole because of the trash in the US. Economic life is better here for average citizens but the French are like children as you mentionned ,whinny even psychotic and very rude without cause but thats ok as I will not die have from bad policies as in the US.
economic life is better here? that's exactly what i fucking said!
the french are whiny and rude? that's exactly what i fucking said!
you're a complete fucking moron who has no argument. maybe you do belong in france, you're too stupid to be in the US. i completely called you out, you have no response. it's so much fun destroying dumb people. you don't belong here. go back to france, it's made for lazy stupid people like you.
@karlsmith00 If you want to continue sounding like the asshole you are then keep watching US media while your standard of living continues to decline and countries like France's, Norway, and The Netherlands surpasses the US's even further. Or you could what a You Tube video David Harvey's A Bried History of Neoliberalism to understand what is going on in the US and the world which you will barely hear about in the US
@karlsmith00 Just a couple of sources proving how stupid you are. The book "The State of Working American" reports that standards of lving in The Netherlands and Norway have passed the standards of living in the US and many other non US peers countries like oil producing countries are far ahead of the US. International Living's Quality of Life index for several years has concluded that France's quality of life is the best in the world.
-- LOOOK at USA ,,,FRENCH people ... 60.000.000 Americans do not have a health care insurance , and 30.000.000 are underinsured ,, no unions , No workers syndicate in USA ,, they can not protest cause goverment keeps them in FEAR ,, FEAR of BIN LADEN .
America has plenty of unions- in fact, the Auto Workers union insists on keeping higher costs in Detroit, causing the American auto companies to run at a loss, while Japanese auto companies set up shop in the South and pay their employees just as well...
Note: I'm not anti-union (I support them wholeheartly), but the UAW shouldn't do this...
Also, speaking as an American, most of us don't fear bin Laden...we laugh at him...
Please, to all the French, do not look to America as a model for future economic developement under Neoliberalism. Life sucks here after you look at the measurements and statistics.
@Marly61: exactly, many Americans work all their lives, only to have large corporations and gov'ts steal their money. I know some ppl here who labor all life, to die at ages 50's or 60's
I left the US for a better life. If you need statistics to back up your thoughts might I suggest viewing Noam Chomsky on You Tube and the book "The State of Working America"; chapter 8. I would probably come back to the US if the people were going to improve standards of living there but I dont see that happening soon
