  • Stewie is Rex Harrison in an infant body

  • VILE WOMAN!

  • His voice is a little high for Stewie, but I can see the inspiration.

Stewie does look like him though! See around the eyes and the gestures of the face, everything except the lemon head.

  • wow i have seen this video in the choices never clicked on it thinking the icon picture was rex harrison as a boy never would of think that would be a girl...

  • A man with that voice should not be teaching phonetics.

  • @hatchetkilla4201 Where's your originality?

  • when he said "haaaa haaa haa" i thought of the family guy clip when stewie says to brian "ha that's so funny i forgot to laugh.........excluding that first 'HA'"

    LOL!

  • Thank you Wikipedia.

  • Haaaa haaa ha.

  • There is something brilliant about having an infantile super genius version of Rex Harrison hanging out in a disfunctional family from Road Island. Stewie > Maggie Simpson! :D Btw. there is a episode that is a great tribute to My Fair Lady, in which a english baby girl who resembles Maggie alot moves in next door. Its called One If by Clam, Two If by Sea

  • @MsMarc1234

    "Road Island"? ^^

  • @Holm182 Isnt there something else you wanna correct in that comment? It isnt Maggie - Its Eliza.

  • they shud have a sketch on family guy of srewie and rex harrington meeting

  • What the deuce!!!?!!

  • Pygmalion!!

  • Stewie makes a better Rex Harrison impression

  • lol lmao

  • DAMN YOU WOMAN!

  • After Stewie urinates and blames it on Brian, he says ha ha in a voice just like this.

  • LOL! :D

  • HAAAAAAAAAAAA HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

  • Ah bloody hell! I've gone 'n wet miself!

  • haaaa haaa haaaaaa

  • I thought Stewie was more Noel Coward

  • @mammers11 Well actually, Noël was Lerner and Loewe's first choice for the role of Henry Higgins in the original Broadway show. Wikipedia says so.

  • Freeeddiee?! *asian eyes*

  • rex rex rex rex rex rex rex REX REX REX REX REX REX REX REX REX REX REXXIE REXXIE REXXIE REXXIE REXXIE REXXIE

    ~WHAT~

    Hi

  • omg he's soooo stewie lol

  • @Tati11233 lol other way round

  • @Tati11233 LOL NOOO Stewie's soooooo Rex Harrison

  • I was thinking. Stewie Stwie Stewie when the video started. But when Audrey Hepburn appeared. My mind blanked at her beauty....

  • @leonardthemaster u know, she nevr thought she was evn pretty. I guess maybe we determine ourselves what is truly beautiful.

  • RIP Audrey Hepburn , and Rex Harrison

  • damn whos the chick in pink?

  • @westernrebel89 the marvelous Audrey Hepburn:)

  • @highdopaminelevel thanks, shes gorgeous

  • @westernrebel89 shees like 95 now!

  • @punkrosezer01197 shees like .. dead now, actually lol. Been dead almost 20 years.

  • haa haa haaaa

  • Seth MacFarlane did a damn good job. Rex Harrison was an inspiration, but Seth also managed to make it a bit of his own. I like that. Such a talented individual, Seth.

  • Lol it sooo does! man i love and watched this film My Fair Lady so much that i ddnt notice that

  • o my god thats frikin hilarious

  • Fail! I was expecting a "What the deuce" at some point in this video. Never fucking got it.

  • stewie!!!

  • HA! :24 So stewie.

  • @TheConfederate96 Seth McFarlane based Stewie off of this man :-)

  • ha ha ha- stewie does that alot

  • @vampirenightlover123 ha ha ha AKA "WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?"

  • BurnInHell !!!!!!! x

  • you that the director of Family Guy is the voice actor of Stewie Griffin

  • @alextang07021 and peter..and quagmire, and brian lol

  • Is that Audrey Hepburn?

  • @thetvuser666 As we can see, the internet usually doesn't respond well to sarcasm haha

  • @thetvuser666 Your a real idiot to think that he copied Stewie when 1) this is from 1964 and 2) Seth Macfarlane said Stewies voice is based on Rex Harrison.

    You are an imbecile.

  • Seth McFarlane, made the voice better

  • lmfao I fucking love him

  • @thetvuser666 This is a clip from a 1964 movie... so I'm not sure what you're trying to say there..

  • cheeeeeseburger

  • THe title should be the other way around...

  • @XxDaHuGgiEBeaRxX and you are gay

  • Audrey Hepburn.....*drools* one of my all time favs

  • sounds like Edward Hibbert from Fraizier to me

  • Wow, Stewie and Rex Harrison don't really sound alike to me.

In fact, Stewie sounds much cooler.

  • actually Robert Stephens sounds more like Stewie, even though Seth said both on Conan and Inside the Actor's Studio that Stewie is based On Rex Harrison.

Look him upon Youtube and tell me I'm wrong. His best examples are from the television series "The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes" where he plays Sherlock quite brilliantly.

  • hihihihhi :D

  • ZOMFG IT STEWEEEYYYYYAAHHH

  • Seth MacFarlane based Stewie on him. Obviously people have already stated that but it's MacFarlane. Not mcfarlen. Lol.

  • OMG tha same attitude and as stewie! And that "hahaha" at the end, lol!!!

  • This clip is hilarious!!! I love it!!! I LOVE this movie SO much!!! Oh and i love Rex Harrison as well!!! =)

FYI: Stewie kinda does sound like rex! Ha LOL!

  • who's that sexy peach...MMMMMmm MMMm!!

  • its the laugh to. if you look up inside the actors studio the cast of family guy seth mcfarlen says he takes rex harrisons voice and puts a spin on it. thats where he said he got the idea.

  • Hes got the accent but its not stewie. Pretty funny the hahaha at the end :D

  • he did the stewie laugh, and has the stewie attitude

  • its the accent

  • i totally see stewie in this.

  • omg, why they r talking like tat? lol

  • Yet it's where stewie's accent was taken from

  • @alexsuarez85 its an impression

  • @talk2malawyer Seth said the voice for Tim the Bear is based on Steve Martin and Dan Ackroyd's "Wild and Crazy Guys" characters from SNL.

  • @alexsuarez85 Wow, so everybody else is wrong? Amazing!

  • very funny, i just saw the interview where seth said this was basically stewie. I had no idea who this guy was until now.

  • it's true Seth McFarlane admitted it in an interview.

  • Thank you! I love Rex Harrison!

  • Seth MacFarland has said he formed Stewie's voice after Rex Harrison directly, so it's not really a surprise to fans of the show.

  • Many of Seth's voices are just impressions of mid 20th century character actors.

    Stewie = Rex Harrison

    Quagmire = Bob Hope

    Roger = Paul Lynde

Tim the bear = Desi Arnaz

  • i made my way through your little list, spot on on all 4

  • I didn't think Desi for Tim, but it makes sense. They just made Desi into a bear, I guess.

  • that's strange, b/c I saw some sailor movie with I guess Noel Coward (??) and he sounded exactly (pitch, tone, diction, everything to a perfect T) like "Stewie"... to me, Rex Harrison sounds NOTHING like Stewie- only the accent is the same...

  • Just a note, Seth Macfarlane did say he was a fan of Rex Harrison and used him as an inspiration for Stewie on "Inside the Actor's Studio."

  • i believe he said it, but i can't hear the inspiration through my own ears b/c i hear others with a voice closer to Stewie... oh well. lol

  • rex harrison + david hyde pierce = stewie

  • First time I saw FG I thought Rik Mayall did the voice of Stewie.

  • "HAAAA HAAAA HAAAA!"

hehe that was great, SO stewie. :)

  • Stewie Griffon (of Family Guy)=

    Rex Harrison style voice

    Dennis the Menace outfit

    and the Omen attitude

  • Seth MacFarlane did say he got inspiration from

    Rex Harrison for Stewie

  • LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL OMG if anyone says 'that is nothing like stewie then they need a dickslap'.This rex harrison fellow seems like quite a dazzling actor.

  • lol that really sounded like a Stewie voiceover everytime I watch this movie I crack up the first time I hear Harrison's voice xD

But Seth McFarlane did say that Stewie was based off of Rex Harrison...

  • roger, the alien from "american dad" is based on paul lind.

just watch pretty much anything with paul lind. hilarious.

he was templeton the rat in charlotte's web.

i think as soon as i was old enough to know what "gay" was, i knew templeton was a super gay rat.

  • whoops. his name is spelled Lynde.

  • victory is mine!

  • I know hes soo charming*sigh*...omg i love that episode where stewie sings "ive grown accustomed to her face" about his mom and then shoots the screen oh i laughed my ass off!!! any1 here seen it??

  • Why must Rex Harrison be so adorable? *sigh*

  • yeah i just read on imdb that stewie's voice is based off of him! pretty cool actually. peter's is based off a security guard that seth knew

  • Wow, he actually even took some of the lines for Stewie. That hahaha at the end for example.

  • that HA HA HA sounded like that stoned rasta tour guide guy haha

  • stewie took it from this

  • I take it you meant Seth Macfarlane took some of the lines for Stewie, not sure why ya got downvoted

  • lol

  • Seth Macfarlane said Stewie is based after Rex Harrison.

  • Well it doesn't help that you're mentally challenged.

  • i think youd find yourself to become "pussyish" with the barrel of a loaded shotgun to your head, pussy

  • It was MacFarlane's own reference to Rex while describing Stewie's character that prompted me to look this up. There's no denying the similarity. Sadly I had heard of Stewie before Rex.

  • lol

  • Indeed.

  • not sure i catch your meaning but ok....

  • Years ago, when I'd watch The Simpsons with others, I was always amazed at the amount of the humor lost on people who are not well read, or even "well watched". The Family Guy has made this sooooo much more obvious. I suppose it really speaks to the quality of the show. Morons can completely miss more than half of the jokes, and they STILL watch. I don't know whether I resent having to share air with the rest of you, or am thankful you exist to serve us (the 98%/2% argument - look it up) lol

  • Aint that the fucking truth. Even the self-referential humour is lost on most viewers. Resent, don't thank.

  • "Morons"? Really? So, to your mind, any 21st century man or woman who hasnt spent time watching 1950's and 60's musicals is a moron hmm?

  • Nah, not really. I enjoy the whiskey... ;)

  • lol lmao

  • omg! great minds think a like! every time I watch this scene I think of Stewie Griffin!

  • lol Fredy!

    ha! ha! ha!

rex harrison is so funny in this film!

  • XDD

    harrr harrrr harrrrrr

  • oh yes oh yes oh yes it's stewie......brilliant can't believe I didn't seeit until now lol

  • It's Noel Coward singing...but he says Quagmire's trademark 'giggidy giggidy goo' part way through!

    I didnt realise untill i heard it...brilliant

  • Bloody hell, that's uncanny!

Might help settle a argument too, handy video.

  • Seth Macfarlane makes a lot of references to old movies.

  • HAHAHA omg!

  • Oh God...Now it makes total sense! LMAO

  • lol

  • Seth Macfarlane said Stewie is based after Rex Harrison.

  • did u kno that theres an episode where stewie actually teaches a girl with an accent to talk properly? this might work a little better if you used those clips

  • Indeed. Olivia - "the life of the wife is ended by the knife", as in "the rain in Spain", etc... Or an "I've grown accustomed to her face" clip would do just as well. It's amazing how many don't know the references to The Music Man, My Fair Lady, The Sound of Music, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Pirates of Penzance, and on and on that are a constant fixture of Family Guy, Simpsons, even South Park from time to time. The ignorance is staggering.

  • Make that Eliza, not Olivia...

  • lol I understand your point Sideshow Bob in the Simpsons sang "I've grown accustomed to her face" to Bart and Stewie sang "I Have Confidence" before to Brian. The Griffin kids even did "So Long, Farewell", remember? xD

  • Woman!

  • HHAHAhAhAHAA " HA HA HA" i love rex harrison!! Freddie?

  • Has anyone seen the episode (3x04) where Stewie actually becomes Henry Higgins? "The life of the wife is ended by the knife."

  • It's not so much a sound alike as Seth said Stewie's voice pattern, mannerisms, and pompous vocabulary was based on Rex Harrison's Henry Higgins. With an evil genius twist of course.

  • Seth MacFarlane himself said that Stewie is based off of Rex Harrison.

  • Yes, that's true. He said that he made Stewie sound like an "evil Rex Harrison"

  • Whoa that's freaking weird. I said the exact same thing

    five months ago. Ha!

  • Dean89, yes.... yes he does.

  • Hahaha. "FREDDIE?" I love that. XD

  • His laugh at the end is every stewie like :)

  • damn

  • of course he sounds like Stewie Macfarlane readily admits he tried to make Stewie sound like Rex Harrison

  • Seth Macfarlane? Yeah he said he wanted Stewie to sound like "an evil Rex Harisson" haha

  • Freddie?

    That one word is helarious.
