We need to get a bunch of libertarian judges elected so these kidnappers end up standing tall before the make explaining why they are violating these peoples rights.
Find an attorney and sue them. At the very least, if you can't find an attorney, take them to small claims court. No attorney needed there. If they don't show up, you win by default.
Go to 4:50 in this video. The officer claims the open carrier is in violation of ORS 166.360. This just lists the definitions of a capital building, court facility, and public building but doesn't actually define what acts or actions would violate this statute. I am not an attorney but I'm not sure yet what law the open carrier was in violation of.
You need to file a lawsuit with the next 90 days or so not sure your laws their but its was an illegal arrest. I usually see at least 25,000 in cases like this if not 75,000.00
@TheMNcamper I know, but my cousin and I still have little experience. At least there was a cameraman. We are still learning as we go, thanks for the info.
While I am a strong supporter of Open Carry, I don't particularly agree with your approach here, but no one should ever be treated like this when they are within their legal rights.
To the cousin, Photography is not a crime, and US Appellate Courts have upheld that public officials acting within the scope of their duties to not have an expectation of privacy. Don't let him bully you. "I have no intention of hindering you from doing your job officer"
@wameeds No I am not being charge with any crime because I had not committed any. So they did arrest me and without my consent they disarmed me and check the serial #, but after that they return my firearm and they let me go. Because Garr was not informed very well of the law in Oregon.

There's a video of a guy open carrying in a bank. People seemed to notice, but none seemed to have cared.

Please stop recording the floor and your feet. Point the camera up high enough so we can see faces.

Why did the cameraman move?
Response should have been:
"Am I not legally allowed to be here?"
