@brakelateandturn This mod is not intended to make the FFB level stronger but faster and more real, actually the level or the intensity of the FFB could always be adjusted though the Logitech Profiler and the profile for each simulator or Mod you race. What really makes this mod different is that the overall feeleing is more real as the response time is much faster. Ayway this mod was made for real racers driving at ARC Team facilities... I believe they know...
@brakelateandturn oh,so you are a pro race car driver and have driven a lot of race cars...sounds like someone has been playing need for speed carbon while being drunk
@brakelateandturn yes they do. if you take off the power steering, get your hand caught in there mid counterspin and it COULD get broken or badly sprained :s
@BLITZKRIEGRECORDS000 Actually I don´t have any deadzone issue with rFactor, LFS, iRacing or Simbin... When possible I tweeked every controller.ini or logitech profile also.... The t500rs looks fantastic btw... but not available in my country...
@pgrandeTube Yes I see what you mean. the setup on the Pc eliminates such an issue. I was refering to the GT5 problem on ps3, there is no way to get rid of the dead zone.
@catsanddogsarekillin It is a minor problem that exists in logitech wheels that can be hard to notice sometimes.
Basically the force feedback is a little weaker right when the wheel is centered, and also you can place it right in that spot and it will not move until you hit a bump, in which case it will just swing back and forth
Under normal use by a normal person, you will not experience the weakness or the perfect centering thing because you wont be sensitive to the wheel, and you just use it
@catsanddogsarekillin The idea is that you want the dead zone low or none at all if possible that way every degree you move the wheel, the tires will turn.
If you add a bunch of deadzone, when you turn the wheel it will take however many degrees of turning the wheel before the tires start to turn
If the wheel is acting like a pendulum swinging back and forth because it cannot find the center, then add deadzone. If it takes a bit of turning before the wheels turn subtract deadzone
@e1gas The mod replaces some inisde electronics to support new power supply (almost double) that's it, but the comps are sealed so don't ask me what they change, I don't know the blue prints... so you need the fans to cool the motors... The result is much mor realistic feeling, response and strenght... google Driving It G25 Mod...
Wow! That looks really hard on the internal stops. Are you guys modding those in the future? If not...I suspect the plastic won't live very long taking that beating everytime you start the computer.
@Saabjock No problem with the insides till now... anyway looks harder in the video than in real life... also I use a Quick release now so calibration is made without the wheel... this vieo was intended to show the response time....
Wow! That looks really hard on the internal stops. Are you guys modding those in the future? If not...I suspect the plastic won't live very long taking that beating everytime you start the computer.
Great improvement! I wonder if this mod eliminated that dead spot/zone in G25 force feedback at the center?I can,t drive it anymore because of that sloppy and loose feeling when the wheel is centered and seriously consider getting a fanatec 911 turbo s or something else.
@chwiej777 I don't have any dead zone issue, I have edited all the ini files for rFactor, GTR2, GTR Evo... even with iRacing I don't have any dead zone feeling. Actually it feels really strong in the center.
@pgrandeTube I just bought a G27 and seem to have that dead zone problem with the wheel. You say you've solved it by editing the sims' ini files rather than adjusting the in-sim settings or the settings in the Logitech profiler. Can you let me know how you did that exactly? I'm desperate for some good FFB! :)
@chwiej777 Any Dead spot will likely be the Wheel and its controlling software.
In ALL my sim racing I start each game FROM the Logitech Profiler this IMHO is a MUST do.
My settings for rFactor Overall effects 90%, Spring 10%, Damper 150%,
Centering Spring enabled set to 10%, Report Combined Pedals OFF, Degrees of Rotation 400 , Special Game Settings TICKED Allow Game to Adjust UN TICKED. This setting gives a draggy feel much like a real car.
@xeventh No, just a demo of the fast response during calibration. This mod increases time response of the FFB ingame, Torque, Details of the subtle forces.... etc... It represents much more real sensitivity. Anyway it has been thought for real simracers and or professional racers looking for better feeling as Arc Team shows on their site.
Well, I thought the same... It has been working for a year now, I recently opened the G25 to see if everything looks OK and I found everything perfectly, so for the first year no sing of any damage. Also the calibration process occurs only once, when you turn it on, so is once a day at most, also the force is not so Big as it looks in the Vid. I'll keep posting if anything breaks....
No, it won't break... anyway it is not a matter of force, the response time is the key, anyway this is for serious simracing fans or por drivers, not for PS gammers. Don't worrie, if it breaks I'll post the video or the olaogram! as it will last more than many of us....
This MOD is not dangerouse if you use it on the paremeters ARC Team has established.
What I meant was that the way the G25 calibrates is quite bad as it caused mine to make cracking noises. Now, with the speed of yours, I can see how strong its slamming into the stop, which can damage the wheel over time. Thats all im trying to say, its hitting the stop too hard.
Anyway, who said im not a serious simracer fan? I own every racing simulator out there and im part of a racing league.
PLease dont right things about people you dont know.
Yes I know what you mean, but I've tested it quiete a lot, this mod won't break it just for the Calibration... I use 75% of the force in the profiler, but againg the response time is much better and it nevers reach the limit as in the calibration... an calibration occures only once a day. Also tehre is a switch to turn it off so the wheel is on only for racing and it doesn't calibrate when you turn it on. So trust me, this is safe but of course it deppends of taking a minniumun care.
