All airsoft guns that run on green gas can run on propane. Green gas is simply propane with silicone lubricant. So be sure that if you use propane you rune some lube through your mags every once in a while to lube the mags up.
It's good just about anywhere as long as it's warm. I live up in New England and it works perfect spring through fall then when winter comes around everyone has to change over to spring pistols. The gas just doesn't like the cold!
I couldn't answer that just because I don't know much about the KWA Glock 17. I can tell you that this is full metal and I know it does make a big difference in the feel of the gun. It's been reliable for me so far and I have no regrets about getting it. The only downside is it's a gas hog. Ask someone about the Glock and compare. If they're about equal in pros and cons, choose the one you like the looks of.
The mags fit 15 bb's and you can use it for about 1 and a half mags before you have to refill gas. That's with green gas. And it to have a very decent blowback.
If you can get it off you should be able to get it back on. If I were you and you do get it off and have trouble getting it back on I'd sand down the area that holds it onto the barrel. That should help a little bit.
I've had other people with the same problem. Mine had just popped off. And it does just pop back on. Maybe they're gluing them on now? I'm not sure but I've had other people with the same problem. If you're able to get it off you should be able to get it back on.
also, your gun looks like a parkerized gray, on evike it is shown in a blackish color, is that the way they all come. and the picture is just bad. (on evike)
I think it'll do just fine for reenacting. It's a gas hog but I haven't had a problem with it. It's a good price for the quality you're getting (it is full metal) and it does have that classic look to it. That's why I got it. Whether I wanted to reenacted a battle from World War 2, Vietnam, or modern conflicts I could use the same pistol.

Well if you're that willing to save for a gas pistol then this would be a good one to consider. I know that lots of the gas pistols out there aren't full metal but it does add a lot to the feel of the gun and the blowback itself feels more powerful. The only problem you may have is with the mags which I believe you can find for about $10 - $15. That's not bad at all though. I like it and if I hadn't gotten this one, I'm really not sure what I would have bought.
It can use propane gas as well, adapter for propane bottle is $25, cuts gas cost down by like 90%, I wish I lived in the states to get a $99.95 WE, it cost $349 CAD in Canada for the same one. It was worth it when compared to the other crap available in Canada.

I've never had to field strip it to get the tip off. I never had a propblem with getting it off. Other people have though and yes, they've used a pair of pliers to get the tip off. Just be careful.

There is a size difference. The compact is a medium sized 1911 and the compact extreme is the very small version the regular 1911 is the full size version.
If airsplat is your site of choice, search the site for 1911. It'll come up with all of them they have. Spring and gas. Mine is gas. If you want mine you can find it on evike as well as a few other sites. It's a WE-TECH 1911.
u can get it at shortyusa type in 1911 in the gas guns section and look for the one looking like this the gun on shortyis full metal comes with 2 mags 300 fps about and were can i get some gas nikler
Depending on what kind of use you're getting out of it or the terrain you're using it in it might be a good idea to clean it after every time you use it. Same rules as any other gun. It's not hard to at least take the slide off and spray some oil on the major moving parts.
the bb follower is broke on both, one has a big hole, which makes it an oblong shape which cant fit into the gun, and the gun is not nearly as powerful as i would like, it wont even go through card board, and the slide lock never works, maybe 1 mag out of 80
It isn't the slide lock that won't work. If the BB follower is broken, it won't engage the slide lock. If you had working mags it should work. I haven't had a problem with the power. Have you tried oiling the gun up? There are some take down videos on youtube.
So far not bad. How did your mags break? The tab on them that helps engage the slide lock? One of mine broke like that. Both still work though. The gun itself is still in good working order.

Alright, so mine is the WE M1911 Single Stack Latest Edition. Not Compact or 3.9 and mine also came with 2 mags. Mags also only hold 15 BBs, the gun was Full Metal, and mine also only costed around $100. It also sounds exactly the same. So unless i bought a newer/older version I doubt they are different. I'll try to pull it out again but if theres anything else i need to do please tell me.
Mine popped off. The only thing I can think of is that yours fits more tightly. Someone on here did comment that they had to force theirs a little bit to get it off. I didn't have to unscrew it or anything. That's all the help I can give you. Sorry. You may want to talk to backthem, right below this comment. He had some trouble but got it off. Good luck.

I Bought one from Airsplat and in 3 days it jammed on me and I checked it out and I didn't find anything wrong with it and I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem with the WE 1911

The BB got jammed in the chamber or did something mechanical jam? I personally haven't had a problem with it. The one thing that bugs me is one of my mags doesn't hold gas very well. I think it's sort of hit or miss with the mags. The gun still works great for me though.
I think its something Mechanical in the Piston or something because when I shoot and the top part goes back and then forward it jams as if its out of Ammo but not in the same place as if it were but a bit more in-front and the black thing in the inside stays forward
I would say lube it all. There is a take down video on youtube somewhere. Search 1911 takedown. It'll show you how to remove the slide. Just spray some oil on all the moving parts. That may help and it may readjust anything that may be catching the slide when it blows back.
I already know how to disassemble it and how to lube it up and everything and I already did all of that and I am just going to buy a new mag and Blow-back system

The WE 1911 is 1 to 1 scale. Most gas pistols the same model will have some interchangable parts. It depends what you're looking to change off.

the body of the gun is metal. You can tell it's metal by the weight and the feel. I think the gun has a good feel to it. It feels pretty solid.

It isn't the slide lock that won't work. If the BB follower is broken, it won't engage the slide lock. If you had working mags it should work. I haven't had a problem with the power. Have you tried oiling the gun up? There are some take down videos on youtube.

One broke. The tab's still barely holding on. That mag had trouble holding gas before though so it wasn't much of a loss.

I Bought one from Airsplat and in 3 days it jammed on me and I checked it out and I didn't find anything wrong with it and I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem with the WE 1911
oh and P.S mine came with only one mag so I suggest not buying from Airsplat

The BB got jammed in the chamber or did something mechanical jam? I personally haven't had a problem with it. The one thing that bugs me is one of my mags doesn't hold gas very well. I think it's sort of hit or miss with the mags. The gun still works great for me though.

I think its something Mechanical in the Piston or something because when I shoot and the top part goes back and then forward it jams as if its out of Ammo but not in the same place as if it were but a bit more in-front and the black thing in the inside stays forward

I would say lube it all. There is a take down video on youtube somewhere. Search 1911 takedown. It'll show you how to remove the slide. Just spray some oil on all the moving parts. That may help and it may readjust anything that may be catching the slide when it blows back.

I already know how to disassemble it and how to lube it up and everything and I already did all of that and I am just going to buy a new mag and Blow-back system
