NBA wow, what else is there to say?. People who play basketball need to all learn how to dunk, I just recently finished the training program at (50 inch vertical [dot] com) - dunking is so easy now! (I m only 5 7!)
how come melo juss decided to hop out the bed and say "hey this year im gonna becomme the team leader"... cause i mean he juss started puttin up these big numbers lately he wasnt doin this back in the 07-08 season and the early 08-09 season... correct me if im wrong...
@liason514 well i made that before i saw lebron's shot and he's actually doing really well. idk about wade though ive never really got to realize y he's so great
well yeh but he got his scoring title when he was with shaq as shaq was still a decent player. Lebron and Carmelo got Gold medals as well. Carmelo and Lebron if i do remember correctly since like 2003 did join all star games since rookie years
How so? Melo: dominant scorer, improved defender with active hands, clutch shooter, good ft %, strong, quick and physical player who takes contact & backs down, good rebounder, good passer, plus is displaying better leadership. LeBron: strong and quicker, good rebounder, great passer, scores well, improved D, physical yet less than Melo (doesn't post up enough to create mismatch), fair ft % (tends to struggle), becoming a better leader. Melo is better because he performs better in the clutch.
This is a joke, right? Lebron is the most clutch player in the league. Whether it's scoring in crunch time, passing, rebounding or defending in clutch time, Lebron is top in the league. He leads the league in gamewinners. Lebron also has higher PER, a top 5 defender in the league, one of the best passers in the game and also a dominant scoerer.
we get it, ur a lebron hugger, i admire lebron too but first of all. if u look at stats correctly, dwade lead in scoring for 2 years straight. cp3 leads in steals. lebron has BEAUTIFUL blocks doesnt mean he AVERAGES them. i say he average around 2 - 3 a game? but the leading blocker of 2009, yes hes not that famous and no its not dwight, its javale mcgee with 4 blocks avging.
Are you serious? LeBron isn't the most clutch player in the league. Not last season... not this season... not any season has he been the MOST clutch. He's improved his J but he's not a better shooter --nonclutch or clutch-- than Melo; Bron is mainly clutch 10-15ft from goal. LeBron has struggled at the free throw when games were on the line. His defense is ok, but not great. He mainly swats people from behind; rarely face up. He can get into passing lanes but he lacks strong on-ball defense.
Ok, I will take one thing back. I'm not sure if he has or hasn't been the MOST clutch for at least one season. But I know he wasn't the most clutch last season or isn't during this ongoing season now.
Lol, do you not know what clutch is? Look at Lebron's clutch stats. He's the most clutch player in the league. Also the most clutch last season, and the season before that.
LeBron takes majority of his shots in the post. Of course he'll have a higher statistical average for clutch. He rarely takes a jumper in pressured situations.
If you've noticed in the many games they have played, Kobe, Wade and Melo have mostly taken jumpers or gotten to the charity stripe for the gamewinner or helping their team make a run.
It's not a joke: it's more real than you think. Majority of the time, he tries to drive to the basket for a close shot and/or draw a foul. LeBron's stroke is still a little inconsistent. I'm not saying Melo doesn't do it, but Melo relies on his jumper more and has a better chance of making it than James. As Melo has been dubbed: "Best Scorer in the Game".
Really? Then why are 75% of Lebron's shots during clutch time jumpers? As a matter of fact, 64% of Lebron's normal shots are jumpshots. And Lebron attempts his shots with 0-10 secs left 39% of the time.
I told you LeBron drives to the basket majority of the time. Assuming those "stats" actually exist, LeBron takes "75%... 64%" within about 10-15 ft as I specified earlier. He would tend to take his jumpshots close to the basket more, then rely on his medium to long range game less.
I'm assuming I'm talking with a player that doesn't know about stats very well. First, those stats do exist. And no, they are not categorized as close shots. They are classified as jumpshots, which eliminates layups. They are not counted as inside either, which means it is mid range to 3 point range.
Did you just refer to me as a player? That's funny. But no, I was talking about layups for something else (my fault). And you can shoot a jumpshot at close range (they're not only considered for mid- and long-range). Three types of shots: short (I call close), mid/medium and long. Also, how would you know that how the stats are categorized? Those at the scorer's table (I think that's what it's called) who actually record the data may perceive a hookshot as a jumpshot b/c you jump with it.
I'm not saying he doesn't take mid- and long- range shots. I said he "rarely" takes them. The less shots you take and make, the better the percentage can be, especially for clutch. LeBron may take about 3 to 4 jumpshots in clutch situations and make 1 or 2, which are small numbers of attempted shots.
My point is that taking 75% of jumpshots doesn't justify how many he attempts total. You can get 75% on 3-4 or 9-16. There's a big difference between those: he could attempt 4 or 16 shots.
Lol, my bad on the player part. I know that's how the stats are categorized because that's what it says! They are labelled that way. Check 82game(.)com. And that 64% isn't his fg%. That's the percentage of his total points. So that means that 64% of what Lebron is averaging right now are from jumpshots. He scores 9.3 of his points by taking jumpshots. The jumpshots aren't close range. They are around mid range. I know what I'm talking about. Turst me. I'm actually a stathead.
I look at stats too... a lot. But I refer to watching the games more: grasping information through experiencing the games for myself. If I cannot do that, then I refer to stats second. Anyway, I'm not sure how we started making a debate over LeBron in clutch situations but I'm sticking to my man, Melo. He's a baller. He has improved his game the past few seasons and has emerged as a "superstar" in the debate of "best player in the game". I want to see the matchup: Bron vs. Melo.
Yea, I'm not taking anything away from Melo. He's been a beast this season and as of right now, if awards were to be handed out, I'd say Melo would be the MVP. But I seriously don't see Melo being a better player than Lebron.
Probably because of his size, although he has a similar size to LeBron: Melo just hangs in the air for the reverse... and he did it around 2 players...
Oh, my goodness! Melo just made a sweet move! Now there's two undefeated teams left, Boston and Denver. Carmelo Anthony has got to be the most underrated player in the league right now.
my bad i was looking at the 2nd angle. it doesnt look like it hits the glass on the 2nd angle but when you see the first one its clear it hit the back board
iet187, then before u talk shit to me, LOOK CAREFULLY. im not those ignorant idiots online that say random shit. i play college ball and i was just stating the obvious and u decided to answer before getting ur facts straight but w/e its the internet.
i'm not really a nuggets fan, well became one a little when ty lawson got drafted by them. but Melo is starting off his season VERY good, he keeps this up and he will be MVP
I aint disrespecting Melo. He is my fav top 5 player in the NBA and carry the Nuggets in his back almost by himself (Billups too).
But the layup was great and necessary at the time to avoid the block. But he didn´t "float" under the rim. I bet he can do it even better and hang more in the air.

NASCAR - turn left around a circle.
Indy - see above.
NFL - play for 20 seconds and then take a 2 minute break.
MLB - hit the ball maybe once in an innings.

i'm not really a nuggets fan, well became one a little when ty lawson got drafted by them. but Melo is starting off his season VERY good, he keeps this up and he will be MVP

This layups are very normal actually.
Melo doesn't even jump the entire paint.
3/5

Would like to see you do that one mate!!
TMacvsLeBron 2 years ago
he dust jump the entire paint but he avoids a block too. thats pretty hard to do so no need to disrespect
RandyMoss94 2 years ago
I aint disrespecting Melo. He is my fav top 5 player in the NBA and carry the Nuggets in his back almost by himself (Billups too).
But the layup was great and necessary at the time to avoid the block. But he didn´t "float" under the rim. I bet he can do it even better and hang more in the air.
That´s all.
