  • heeeekeeekeeekeee there. thats gonna be my new evil laugh

  • @milkeatscereal

I couldn't get through the vocal exercise without thinking of your comment and cracking up!

  • 1:44 that's fucking crazy. Haha.

  • I don't want to do the ultimate vocalize : "Ki-ki-ki-ki-ki...". In french, "Kiki" means "penis" in the children's language... So, I could seem strange by singing that front of my mother...

  • @DidouLeCasseur i dont think its KI KI lol its GI GI the G or GUH causes the cords to make contact acting like a hinge so when u go through the higher end of the range it dun cause you to Break. The Letter I as in EEEE GEEEE or EEE will open you some and need to find the balance as you go through the scale!

  • A pure legit voice.

  • a very nice singing voice my friend :)

  • what happens to the vocal chords when you do the opera singer or arnold shwarzeneggar voice? When i do that i can sound like a 7'12 fat black man.

  • Chuck Norris's Bro =D

  • pause at 2:21

  • @cupecakestarr123

Haha. No, PERFORMING is about confidence and practice. Singing is about muscles in your body. Anatomy

  • i think singing isnt about muscles in your body its about confidence and practice

  • @cupcakestarr123 apparently you dont think "thinking" requires a brain either XD

that the stupidest thing i heard, life isnt a fuckin disney story

  • i luv the singing e in the beginning!

  • @holst444 ..Its Haley Williams/ Paramore

  • @sammyBBes ACTUALLY you can't sing :D

  • @sammyBBes SHutup. I bet you cant sing .pft

  • LoL , vibrator,

  • lol he said vibrator

  • I´m mexican so my english stinks. I hope I can explain my self. I was a singer with a natural strong voice and range of mezzo of E4 to D5 with no effort in breast voice and a nice vibration. I never thought about the way I could sing, I just did ti and enjoyed it. After my pregnancy I lost that natural way to sing and I've never made it possible again and my voice has turned in weak and broken with a nasty vibration. I've tried it harder but nothing happens. Please help me.Thanks a lot.

  • hmmmm.......why can I only do whistle register in the morning? its so weird I can't do it anymore when its cold and when I'm talking a lot!I need help!

  • @aliciaminionette Drink warm drinks, tea to keep your vocal muscles warm and relaxed, and to stop them fromdrying up :)

  • Is it just me, or does Brett always look like he has a hangover in these videos?

  • I brought your program for my daughter (Nia) and she has improved so much. Thank you so much for such a wonderful program. Sucks, I might give singing a try!

  • hei, do you believe what you did? you just used first a breathy falsetto, then a non-breathy falsetto! Falsetto anyway and not full activation of the vocal folds in both cases! Do you call that full head voice, instead?

... are there actually people who believe you??

  • @taurdur I don't want to start an argument but I'm just going to say that that was his head voice because there was vocal cord closure. There is no such thing as a "non-breathy falsetto." Falsetto will always have breathiness in the tone because falsetto is a result of a lack of compression. ;)

  • @smparsons111 Hi, if a non-breathy falsetto doesn't exist, any countertenor would be singing with a breathy tone! ;-) In the falsetto mode, true and I agree, the rate of vocal fold closure is definetely less than in full head voice and the rate of air expulsion is bigger, but breathiness in the tone can be reduced to the point of not being heard, as he nicely shows.

  • @smparsons111 ..breathiness can be present in full head voice too, that's not relevant... what tells that a sound is not full head voice but falsetto is the quality of the tone, light and female-like, due to the fact that the vocal folds are engaged in activity only by the stretch given by the cricothiroid muscles with almost no action of the thiroaritenoid and the vocalis muscle. That's why it's so easy for him to accomplish and doesn't ask for any adjustment of the vocal tract. Regards

  • @taurdur Hi there. :) From my understanding, countertenors sing in head voice, and breathiness is how you tell the difference between head voice and falsetto. I realize I am just repeating the same thing I said before, I'm only an amateur so I can't explain these concepts very well. You should check out this youtube video and you will see what I'm talking about, I found it very helpful myself: /watch?v=OpiZH8Y1QR4

  • thank goodness, you finally cut your hair! so much better!

  • i luv to sing but i hate vocal exercises

  • @virgo1999181 COOL!

  • @virgo1999181 Yeah, they're awkward and boring, but its the same with learning any musical instrument, I play scales on my guitar for 3 hours a day, I hate it, I'd rather just play songs, but not learning the scales and not doing the vocal exercises will make you sound like shit when you really are going for a song. Trust me, its worth it.

  • i dont think i could ever take vocal lessons, id be laughing too much

  • he can sing his ass off . i can tell just by hearing his vibrato

  • Brett, do you know what falsetto actually means and what your use of it implies?

  • omg!!!! you sound beautiful singing wow

  • is there any way to sing with layne staleys style? is that possible?

  • @sdavistew As far as I know... you can change your style, but it's very very very hard to change your sound. And Layne has a very distinct sound... not a style specifically. Correct me if I'm wrong.

  • brett got the justin bieber cut! loll

  • huh?

  • @BonesDGAF021 Congrats. Idiot comment of the day! Then again you're 12 or something so you you could just keep your mouth shut and let the adults do the talking and you could probably learn a thing or two..

  • @BonesDGAF021

    a. You make no sense

    b. If you want your opinion of the singing to be respected, don't judge his hair that has nothing to do with the video at all and you just sound fucking immature. Which you are.

    c. Anyone can sing, they just need to be trained right, which is what these people are doing, training. They aren't trying to sound great, they are only teaching techniques. You can't judge the way they sound on a video like this.

    Please grow up.

  • @BonesDGAF021 dont be stupid are excercises arent suppose to sound good

  • he looks like jack nicholson.

  • Comment removed
