... all the know-how you need is in there proper old books like Coulson's "Electricity" and the classic book on whacky formulae "Tables of functions - with formulae and curves" by Jahnke and Emde (which kind of evolved into Abramovich and Stegun's handbook I think). Crazy bug-ridden and hokey/gimmicky books (and more so: TV docs, videos and music) are written, pushed and flogged EVERY DAY...

Many years ago I used to get in a muddle trying to write out formulae for the field due to coils and solenoids and things: Messing around in cylindrical (or maybe spherical) polars (treating it as a solution to Laplace's equation) turned out to be a red-herring... just write out the answer as an integral along the wire (coming from the Biot-Savort law) as neatly as possible (reducing things by using symmetry).... then express in terms of elliptic integrals...

i dont see the difference between this structure and a regular copper wire, think about it a regular wire also has 2 opposite sides to suggest that the form of this that's what will give you somthing is nonsense..
