  • i for one did an air banjo

  • Wer ist Knochen?

  • its an old irish folk song, the lyrics arent carved in stone, its more about how long and how fast can you go while remembering the lyrics, it usually ends when everyone gets lost, and then a loud redition of the verse, lol it is fun

  • From which album is this song taken please ? Thanks

  • wer ist knochen lol -.-

  • KNOCHEN ♥

  • This is a fair rendition (not bad, not good either). I like their singing except for the descriptions where they just sing monotonous.

  • sexy

  • auch wegen Knochen hier

  • I Love This Song!

  • jo der knochen is schuld XD

  • Well, I finally decided to look for this. I can't wait to read the comments here. Should be quite interesting. I'm sure there's lots of Newfie comments, good & bad. But it isn't about Newfs anyways. Not a Newfie song, BUT by far.... the absolute version. I hope nobody has any disbelief in the singing of this song. I've seen them do it live (original band). Guess what? If you are a fast talkin' Newf, an Irishman, or a Scott, it's easy. Just don't drink too much. Notasthink, thank you.

  • @CabWall sorry, I meant to say absolute best song

  • OMG..i cant keep up with this, but it is a fun song.

  • towards the end i totally had a headsplosion

  • I LOVE THIS SONG

  • hair on the worm? lol

  • @JayJayBear16 no one said it was attached, a hair on a worm is very plausible.

  • @bradkey98765 Worms do have hair that grows on them, they use it for traction to move

  • @SirMechanico Well they have setae, which may be similar but not the same.

  • Kaum schlecht :D

  • Knochen ist schuld das ich hier gelandet bin^^

  • @troubel88

    me too

  • Learned this at boyscout camp. Favorite song we would sing.

  • @anubis1974 I bet they could do it drunk, backwards.

  • Also wenn man nur die Wörter (nest, limb, egg usw.) 2x schnell hintereinandersagt ohne den Rest der Zeile mitzusingen - geht das...

  • we sung this at a concert it was fun and hard

  • A friend of mine and his friend played this song flawless at a school concert.

Applause after every verse, it was amazing.

  • i know a version of this song performed by a woman and a man, but i don´t know their names, any ideas ? I heard it on a bus tour through wicklow. Felt in love with that version but can´t find it anywhere.

  • really unfair...

  • I love trying to keep up, it's so fun XD

  • there is a bavarian song with this melodie too

"drunt in da grüna au steht a birnbaum sche blau" :)

  • Still brilliant though! We sing this every new year!

  • imho this is studio engineered. The verses are way too fast to be what they actually managed in the recording.

  • @protoskull You, my friend, have greatly underestimated the skill of Irish musicians. They don't need any stinking engineering.

  • @protoskull i can sing to this song

  • @protoskull my mother has heard this band live and they do sing this fast.if you listen they cut out all but two words to speed it up.

  • Love all of the Irish Descendants music. They are new to me down here in the Texas Gulf coast area.

  • 'Mari-Mac' by Great Big Sea is almost as crazy as this

  • Yay Newfoundland! 100% newfie right here!! LOL! I love driving my mom nuts with this song :)

  • @sOdiuMxXxaPpLesAUcE Same here b'y! 100% XD

  • I used to sing this song with my cousins as a kid! <3

  • Ok, Let me get this straight.

Theres a Egg in the bird, Theres a bird in the egg, The bird has feathers that got worms on it, the worms got hair on it, the hair got louse and the louse got tick.

WHAT KIND OF EGG HAS ALL THAT IN IT?!

  • easy well the shat answer being the egg that is in the bird

And the bird in the nest,

And the nest on the limb,

And the limb on the branch,

And the branch on the tree,

And the tree in the bog,

And the hole in the bog,

And the bog down in the valley-o.

  • @Spirit89890 The egg they are singing about, of course... :D

  • @dolimount123 so can i :)

  • genius!!

  • here is my challenge to everyone that listens to this, try to sing this song three times in a row and if you manage to... you're more than likely lying :P

  • Hello I am wondering if anyone has mentioned to the Kingston Trio that they have your sound,... C.A.

  • @XTINASCORKROOM i would think, so... C.A.

  • such legends. :D

  • it gets sooooooooo fuckin annoyin near the end of the song

  • @tundrite

I finnaly can sing as fast as them I've been practicing it's been a week !

Just the last one I miss a couple of words...

  • Listened to it about 400 times now...

  • @mykittenspike dude i did the same exact thing... tryin to sing just as fast as them.... but i think its impossible

  • This makes me laugh. I remember listening the Irish Rovers do that, but these guys just auctioned off the Irish Rover's version... XD

I think I heard them say "Tree going once, going twice..." somewhere in there...

  • try listen this /watch?v=eQdYIhPXFB4&feature=related

its a greek very rare traditional song talking about an old man who was about to mary a young girl but the girl left him cause of his age! the chorus getting bigger every time it repeats! excuse me for my english

  • haha, we do this with the kids at the preschool.

  • Couldn't do it when i was 5, can't do it now and I'm sixteen. Might as well try it when i'm 27 xD

  • I haven't heard this since I was little. Good to find that some of the stuff my mom used to sing came with us from Ireland. This makes me want to go there that much more.

  • better live

  • I'm proud to be Irish. :)

  • aw our sub teacher taught us this <3x

  • I'm suddenly much more proud of my Irish heritage.

  • Still one of my all time favs for ever! I'm an Eagle Scout and I've worked at summer camps and this is one of my specialties... I can do the last line in one breathe and challenge the scouts to do it with me, they love it!

  • FAST!!!

  • Ahhhhhhh there goes me liver

  • They actually did this faster when they played it live.

  • I suspect there are some clever studio tricks used in this recording, but nevertheless these guys are a fuckin' talented bunch 'o Newfs.

  • @Rheostatik

You wanna hear live version, much faster than this and without your "studio tricks"...

Serbian band of Irish folk/rock music

  • i got through the entire thing

  • I love being Irish

  • this was sooooooooo cool

  • LOL! I went to a dinner theatre last night and one of the guys sang this! The play was Finnigan's Farewell. I loved it. He didn't do all the verses though. I don't think anyone but these guys can sing that fast!

  • i can

  • I got to about 1:55 on my first try.

  • @InfiniteGelid so did i and i will never get past it either

  • if u downloaded or if you bought this song rate this up.

  • @ffa04strachanb

    why?

  • best camp song

  • lol

  • i just learned this song in music about a month

  • Who are all those guys in the pic? The only one I recognise is the guy on the far right. I was 19 the first time I saw these guys (original lineup) in 1993-1994 in Halifax. It was always a good time when they did this song. I really lost interest whern they added drums, and the lineup started to change. Got too fancy.

  • The members of the irish descendants are really in a constant vicissitude.

Left to right: Kelly Russell, Byron Pardy, Mike Hanrahan, Paul Stamp and Con O'Brien.

Con O'Brien being the only one that's still in it and has been so since the beginning.

  • I like Authority Zero's version better. But this one's good.

  • when i was like 4 i sang it in a different version :)

  • hey im from carbonear myself just like them and my parents saw them when i was 4 and now i can't wait until i meet them in the summer and im only 15 oh my god i can't wait

  • 5*^ Awesome variant of this cumulative song. Thanks for sharing. :-)

  • authoirity zero's version is awsome ...there vocalist can sing stupidly fast

    tis rather cool :P

  • Oh yeah, and our teacher insists that we sing it that fast

  • We have to sing this in my winter concert at school

  • @wasabithrower good fucking luck

  • @ChirpyCanuck My thoughts exactly.

  • Brilliant!

  • Wow, seriously, that's incredible! Well done guys!

  • Quite good, but I hate to admit that I still prefer Authority Zero's version (as recorded on "Andiamo") ..however, these guys have very nice voices. Sounds like they're tenors, and actually singing properly.. 'tis nice.

  • ok i need a beer and then a nap from listen to these guys! holyshit! now that is what i call some singing. i fcan sing the song BUT nothing like this.

    thanks for sharing.

    blessed be

  • OMFG! I mean we sing this song at the camps I go to, but NEVER this fast!!!!! o.O HOLY SHIT!
