what everyone fails to realize when they see a ricer car beating an S60 is that the ricer car probably doesnt have heated leather seats that are more comfortable than the average bed, nor does the ricer car have a luxurious interior.
I cant deny that civics and imprezas are solidly built cars with good base stats, but their interiors are about as endearing as patio furniture.

@jadderusha well, i've never been in an 01 s80, but i own an 01 s60, and my stepfather owns a 02 s80. I'll admit there are some obnoxious nitpicky parts ive had to work on, like the minor evap leak J tube thing, the upper spring seat replacement (good excuse to install bilstiens though) and hell, my car is bust in the driveway because the alternator needs swap.
But a volvo engine and tranny irrefutably WILL drive you to the moon and back.
Then there's the SEATS! mmm cold weather package...

@BlackMasterRoshi The dash rattle is a small problem, and if you were really concerned with it then you would take the time to read some forums and learn how to fix it. It is actually a really easy fix. I would much rather have a rattling noise in my dash than have to be constantly repairing my car.

@loxyrox it is 5.4, 60mph is not 100 km/h (62 is closer). If he had said 0 - 100km/h 5.7 would be the correct number. Low weight rims would get you to 5.0 seconds in the 0 - 60 MPH run. I have tested.

However, there is no Elevate(autotech) stage 3 yet, it requires a bigger turbo, there is Stage 2 tunes available from iPd, autotech(Elevate), and Rica. A stock S60R M66 tran. is 5.7. Mine is quite fast, not sure if I'm at the 5second mark though.

@jcadlols So far as I know you can't do that with the Volvo. I think I saw that on either a Subaru or Mitsubishi (not too familiar with those cars), but definitely not on the Volvo. That would be a neat feature, though.

@loxyrox it is 5.4, 60mph is not 100 km/h (62 is closer). If he had said 0 - 100km/h 5.7 would be the correct number. Low weight rims would get you to 5.0 seconds in the 0 - 60 MPH run. I have tested.

@ThePurulentSickness holy shit, one thing you definitely DO know is caps lock. But yes thank you for sticking up for the Volvo. However, there is no Elevate(autotech) stage 3 yet, it requires a bigger turbo, there is Stage 2 tunes available from iPd, autotech(Elevate), and Rica. A stock S60R M66 tran. is 5.7. Mine is quite fast, not sure if I'm at the 5second mark though.

subaru has semetric AWD. Volvo has electronic. that means AWD only kicks in when the car starts slipping... it is not always engaged. this is why audi and subaru are good 0-60 cars.... but volvo will pwn on a rolling start.

That car is STI because a S60R fucks subaru wrx till death. there is not too much diference in acceleration volvo does 0 to 60 in 5 seconds ( manual). and only in my s60 2.5T last night I had another exotic brunette. and even Volvo s60r is more exclusive and is so much heavier. you will feel it when you open the door. the doors and the whole car is heavy. when I open subaru sti's door feels like a cardboard. so Volvo with weight reduction will fuck the STI alive. and plus you get more brunettes

@jcadlols So far as I know you can't do that with the Volvo. I think I saw that on either a Subaru or Mitsubishi (not too familiar with those cars), but definitely not on the Volvo. That would be a neat feature, though.
