Did you hear that some states including Arizona the state that I live in want their own soverernity based on the 9th and 10th amenment of the Constition. There is a Rep Judy Bures in this state that is oppose to the gun ban as well as the chiping on our licences. Don't see how states could become there own country even though I think it would be good. I am from the state of ME moon, and Paul came in second in the primary. I can tell you that Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins voted for Paul as listed in the information panel.
I will get the district results and their votes for Paul and who voted for him.
I don't think Paul has got the funds to register for each of the 50 states? It costs a lot of cash to register for each state and some states charge more than others.

I will write in Ron Paul for president, regardless. For me, the right to vote carries with it the right to choose. When faced with bad choices, it is incumbent upon me to make the right choice based upon the all available options. I don't fault others for making a choice between two options, but I will not be forced into that box. The parties do not rule this country, the people do. I stand with the people, not the party. Not all attorneys place their bar association above the Constitution.

Executive Director Bob Kando of the RI Board of Elections said that he is not aware of there being any procedures in RI voters just write the candidate's name in. One would assume that in the event the write-in candidate wins, he/she would need to have the 4 electors to place their votes in the electoral college.
This would be the case in any state in which a write-in candidate for President wins the general election, whether or not the state required the candidate to have the electors beforehand or not.

If Chuck Baldwin had not picked up the gauntlet I would not waver on the matter and, like many posting here, 'writing in Dr. Paul'.
Because of Dr. Paul's friendship with Baldwin and Baldwins policies being identical to Paul's I feel I now have a 'GOOD' option.
Texas: The candidate and vp need to sign an affidavit that they are willing to uphold the oaths of office if elected. I forget when they have to file it.
They swear upon the bible to do that very thing.. What else is needed? Nothing.
If redundancy is necessary at all, then so be it; Let's do as crazycatfguy says and call for a pledge to uphold a future pledge. But... let's make sure we all realize and say it aloud when and if redundancy is called for and why.
The candidate must file the following by Friday, September 5, 2008:
1) A Certificate of Write-In Candidacy for President and Vice-President (1 form).
This form contains 12 spaces for the names, addresses, and signatures of the 12 electors. So each of the electors must put their name, address and signature on this form.

They made fools of themselves. At one point during the 'counting of the votes' the director asked if there were any candidates running? (pft)? One brave soul yelled out RON PAUL! It moved me to tears. The director scoffed and ignored it, did not announce his name and moved on as those nothing occurred. That moved me to the anger I felt at state convention.

There is no form or procedure needed to qualify to be a write-in candidate for President. Any voter can write-in a candidate's name. Write-in votes will only be tabulated if there are enough of them to contest the election.

We need to get the word out to people that are planning on writing in Paul that it most likely wont count. In my state of Texas Paul and his VP would have to register in advance as a write in candidate for the vote to count and Paul has not done that.
I just found out this is true for NJ as well but do not have a camera to make a vid. It is vital to get the word out about this. If people plan ahead and get the absentee ballot, at least we have the chance for the NWO's to see our "fringe" numbers...

Did you hear that some states including Arizona the state that I live in want their own soverernity based on the 9th and 10th amenment of the Constition. There is a Rep Judy Bures in this state that is oppose to the gun ban as well as the chiping on our licences. Don't see how states could become there own country even though I think it would be good. The US will not let that happen.

Yes, 8 states (or thereabouts) have made 'joint resolutions' or declarations of their sovereignty. It is essential that we take some steps to draw a line in the sand (as it were) and put the Feds on notice that we will not take their power grabs anymore.
Secession will not likely happen but whatever does occur a formal notice must be given and this is such a notice.

I am from the state of ME moon, and Paul came in second in the primary. I can tell you that Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins voted for Paul as listed in the information panel.
I will get the district results and their votes for Paul and who voted for him.
I don't think Paul has got the funds to register for each of the 50 states? It costs a lot of cash to register for each state and some states charge more than others.

I always assume unmentioned votes are for Dr. Paul- typical RNC fashion.

I talked with some Minnesota delegates who voted for Ron Paul because they had committed to do so. They weren't trying to disrupt anything, but wanted to carry through on their promise. Will try to find out their numbers for you. Be encouraged! We are only just getting started.

I will write in Ron Paul for president, regardless. For me, the right to vote carries with it the right to choose. When faced with bad choices, it is incumbent upon me to make the right choice based upon the all available options. I don't fault others for making a choice between two options, but I will not be forced into that box. The parties do not rule this country, the people do. I stand with the people, not the party. Not all attorneys place their bar association above the Constitution.

It appears that Ron Paul may be on the ballot here in Montana, so I may not have to write him in. I'm sorry you had a bad time at the convention. I went to the Rally at the Target Center, so I had a much better time. It proved to me that we are in this for the long haul.
We did go down to the Excel and watched the jack-booted thugs pretending to control the protesters. What a joke. The only people committing violence were the police. I saw them attack marchers at the capital.

I have yet to see any protesters at a Ron Paul rally.
I was talking with a friend and he said the Constitution party has split, and Ron Paul will take the place of Baldwin on the Montana ballot.
Montana is a big state with a small population, but not many want to move here because of the winters.
I don't know much about the western free state project. People out here are pretty freedom minded.

Executive Director Bob Kando of the RI Board of Elections said that he is not aware of there being any procedures in RI voters just write the candidate's name in. One would assume that in the event the write-in candidate wins, he/she would need to have the 4 electors to place their votes in the electoral college.

This would be the case in any state in which a write-in candidate for President wins the general election, whether or not the state required the candidate to have the electors beforehand or not.

If Chuck Baldwin had not picked up the gauntlet I would not waver on the matter and, like many posting here, 'writing in Dr. Paul'.
Because of Dr. Paul's friendship with Baldwin and Baldwins policies being identical to Paul's I feel I now have a 'GOOD' option.

The candidate must file the following by Friday, September 5, 2008:
1) A Certificate of Write-In Candidacy for President and Vice-President (1 form).
This form contains 12 spaces for the names, addresses, and signatures of the 12 electors. So each of the electors must put their name, address and signature on this form.

Wow Anyus, they shamed him. I didn't watch the delegate count at the RNC. Ron Paul basically is the only one who can bring back constitutional government. I am still at a struggle to vote. I may stay home. Ron seem to be the only one worth my time. Obama is exciting, but too progressive and globalist. McCain is too dull, not intelligent, and basically an "american general ceasar". They made fools of themselves. At one point during the 'counting of the votes' the director asked if there were any candidates running? (pft)? One brave soul yelled out RON PAUL! It moved me to tears. The director scoffed and ignored it, did not announce his name and moved on as those nothing occurred. That moved me to the anger I felt at state convention.

If I could be sure my absentee ballot with my vote for Ron Paul wouldn't count, I would definetely vote for Chuck Baldwin. I have been having trouble locating ANYONE in my town that knows NJ's policy on this. When I call my reps, I never hear back. I guess Chuck will get my vote if I don't hear. Good vid, thanks. There is no form or procedure needed to qualify to be a write-in candidate for President. Any voter can write-in a candidate's name. Write-in votes will only be tabulated if there are enough of them to contest the election.

Hey mikwid, thanks for the comment. Looks like vocalbrush has it 'down' on the write-in and that with enough of them they are counted, if not they are trashed.
But if the NCRNC's (neo-con republican national convention) 'counting' votes is any indication... there's no hope. Even on live t.v. they screwed up the count.

That's the problem, they won't be counted, Ron Paul knows it, we all do. I just read that Obama is on the unofficial candidate list in Alaska along side Barr, Baldwin, Nader? been going through states and haven't seen Paul on any of them yet.Trying to make sense of all this.I never understood the proccess before someone raised the question of the validity of write ins.I'm likely a Baldwin vote too.

Baldwin upholds everything Dr. Paul stands 4 & doing so on the constitution party ticket. Beware this party may NOT make ballot.
Although stated I'll vote 4 Barr in case the constitution party does not make general election I may have to vote for a 'write-in for Ron Paul'.
I hope this doesn't disappoint you or anyone else but that is the bottom line... I'm not yet sure.
I long for my money and hopes the party makes the ballot but reserve my right to do what I think best at that time.

No one is perfect, and to write in Ron Paul is blowing smoke up where the sun don't shine.
Ron wants us to do the right thing, it won't hurt his feelings if we vote for Barr/Root. He knows that is much more a better direction that writing in his name. We need to get the word out to people that are planning on writing in Paul that it most likely wont count. In my state of Texas Paul and his VP would have to register in advance as a write in candidate for the vote to count and Paul has not done that.
