I always liked myst, although I would get frustrated, having played it when I was just 8 years old. It was a very eerie game, and it seems to me to be what launched the classic "escape" game series online. Me, my brother and two uncles would always share information. Just a really cool game. I'd definitely see a movie had it existed.

How would you make a movie out of Myst? As much as I would love to see one, what would be the plot? After all, all the game is, is you wondering around solving puzzles, where is the action, the romance, the drama? The movie making material isn't there I don't think? What would your plot be- very interested to hear ideas.

Instead of following the game (which takes place after the drama), a movie could follow the life of Atrus, the raising of Sirrus and Achenar, and their betrayal. It could be done, potentially.

only it's change like a lot and then myst and earth mix together...

I think that Myst doesn't have enough interation with other people or action. Maybe 1 season if not nothing. Riven would be amazing as well as Exile and Revelations. If they threw in books plots as well it would make a spectacular series. I think that it would work best if it started with Aitrus and T'iana, then moved on to Gehn, and finally to Atrus. Showing each of their lives. Or maybe three different series (Gehn and Atrus would be concidered spin-offs or something)

Not very canon. Atrus knew very well that when an age is written, you are only writing a link to an existing age. He sounds as arrogant as Gehn to suggest otherwise.

Perhaps not cannon, but that's the very line he uses in the Exile commercial.

I think he's indicating how the wonder is still there for him. Ghenn considered bookmaking a tool, but Atrus considers it a blessing.

Sci Fi channel could and should do a Myst series

Season 1-3 can be in Myst Season 4-6 Riven and 7-8 would be in D'ni. Followed by a movie with the storyline of Revelations.

It would be so epic.

it would be amazing but.. a Sci FI movie? not that there is somthen wrong with them i watch them all the time but there made for tv movies.. it would kind of be a bummer to see them do it i would much rather see a really really well done one if there was a movie

Oh yes, a verry lovely MOVIE-TRAILER ... and some of fans still waiting of the realation of the MYST MOVIE anytime ... perhaps its a job for Studio Hamburg, Germany ??? ... remember, they get the rights to made THE THREE INVESTIGATORS Movies and fans know how difficult it was.

Do you have a PSP or DS? They actually ported Myst to those consoles completely!

But I know what you mean. I wish I could find early games like Return to Zork, Kyrandia, and Monkey Island but nobody has updated them :(

The original Atrus guy from the FMVs would be ideal, but Paul Giamatti would be a good choice if it had be be another actor! I can actually imagine him delivering the same lines :D

The main character should be an unknown actor, not a big name one. They should be emotive, but not recognizable so that people watching the film can imagine themselves in his/her place.

Serus and Ackanar could be played by Kevin Smith and Stanley Tucii.
