  • criticisms: 1st. in reality a comet's tail is blown away from sun wind, so it does not follow the path of the asteroid. 2nd. 99942 Apophis is no comet, it has no tail. 3rd. a meteor is usually a visible phenomenon caused by a small object that is burning in earths atmosphere, which is called a meteorite. So it is just fair you failed in that contest. Animation: is good. just the moment of impact seems a littel strange, first "ring" (clouds) stopps suddenly and is waiting till explosion comes.

  • I have to say, great work with lightwave! I liked this.

  • by 2029 we will have colonized another planet and prob have tecnology to destroy these things

  • sorry but a meteor that small would burn up lol

  • the world ends when it ends so dont make predictions with out proof

  • nice graphics btw

  • WOW! a meteor that small would have hit earth with a lil problem it would have fallen apart before hitting the earth's atmosphere. and it would have left a big crater there but a bigger thing about the size of the moon or bigger could have gone right through the earth and we die but its never gonna happen. In 5.8 billion years the Sun will expand to where mars orbits and yes we will be burned THAT day so dont worry about that u motherf***ing bitches >:(

  • tactical nuke incoming

  • my god, so many haters. Did you read the ****ing description at all? Seriously.

    Cool vid LimbiV2

  • cool know earth is a little sun

  • a mi se me hace ke esto es algo serio

a la mejor inventaron la crisis económica mundial

para financiar su presupuesto contra el meteorito

  • Nice effects Man.

  • Lol at a .3 km diameter asteroid turning the entire planet into molten soup!

  • Man people these days. They just throw out doomsday theories left and right... C'mon people, be original. This has got to be the 50th meteor that's supposed to end it all since 1990. Be a real OP like the people who made Terminator and stuff. This is lame.

  • Nothing happened in 2000

    Nothing happened in 2012

    Nothing happenes in 2029

    Nothing happenes in 2036

    ---------------------------------------

Bottom line--- were all fine.... stop worrying

  • @oSNiiP3Zo well we dont technically know if something happens for 2012...

  • " ....and will impact with a probability of less then 1%..."

    That's already far too much!

  • This scenario is absoltuely unrealistic.

Apophis is a liitle bit more than 300 meters large.

This will cause local destruction and of course climate change for some years.

  • Hmm... U'd think we would send nukes to blow a meteor coming r way, don't u think?

  • There's no sound in space.. Just saying. I hope that asteroid hits and kills only the people who think its the end of the world so they could shut the fuck up.

  • gotta love how a lil astroid so small compared to earth is gonna end it? yeah right im not beliving that.. earth ends when i die just like megadeth72 said..

  • NASA IS LIEING THE NWO WHICH IS NEW WORLD ORDERING

  • @Pedddt do you even know what NWO is? New World Order as an every country working together, it would be a good thing.

  • great effect but not realistic, when we see the ligth of the impact we can't heard the explosion, because we are too far in the space and the speed of sound can't be as fast as the speed of ligth. In the space you can't heard something because sound can't propagate anyway...

  • Well I don't give a damn

  • hey this not gonna happen in 50 billion years so quit it

  • @adenj1112 you're an idiot.. dont run your mouth if you dont know what you're talking about...

the whole solar system isn't even 4.6 billion years old...

  • wew great effect ;D

  • Nuke it

  • my physic and therodynamic skills are a bit rusty but isnt it pretty impossible to set a planets atmosphere on fire with a transition from kinetic to termal energy when the conditions needed to do so are that high ?

  • Apophis is nowhere near this big first of all, and second, This was actually made for Nibiru :P

  • It'll collide at 2036.

  • lol

  • fuking non believers...once it hits ull be believeing...this earth has bren hit before and it will be hit again...the giv is throwing out bogus dates to throw us off but they know when the big one will hit....only matter of time.

  • @kington560 If Apophis hits Earth it will not do anything close to what this video shows. Apophis will release energy equal to a 500 Megaton explosion, to get results as shown in this video it would need to release more energy than a 100,000,000 Megaton explosion. Apophis is not a global killer.

  • if it did collide it wouldnt set the whole world ablaze only a section near the original collision point but it would through up alot of debri into the atmosphere stopping sun light reaching the earth thus destroying most vegitation and then animals die of starvation.

  • Looks like rocks hate amierca

  • i forgot to ask if this is going to happen and all that should i get home insurance.

  • great im going to die at the age of 29 or 36

  • @tasha1555 me too

  • @tasha1555 but i doubt this bullshit

  • For those of you who don't believe this asteroid is real. Don't let the fake and pathetic nutjobs who come to preach their own version of a doomsday with ludicrous conspiracies cloud of you from the real and unreal; Asteroid Apophis is a real asteroid confirmed by NASA and caused a lot of speculation in 2004. Wikipedia has all the info. The first attempts to deflect Apophis onto a safer course using nuclear warheads begins mid 2020's.

Look it up if you like.

  • to be honest i accidently came to this video and now im shitting myself but im also excited to know that we might or will get hit soon, no matter how big small it is its gonna do damage i heard that if its the same size as the burj dubai tower or just a bit smaller it will wipe out the world, but say again the vile human race is doing a good enough job of wiping himself out anyways so no worrys just a matter of time

  • There're fucktards all over the place on youtube. It's like the new place for religious people to hang out instead of in church. In 20 years we will be able to move planets with Iphones.....

What I mean is that we will have better tech and hopefully no religion.

  • im really scared cause people keep saying this. someone please tell me is the world going to end in my lifetime? im 11 :_(

  • @JadeLouiseChen No, the world is not going to end in your lifetime. It wont end in your grand children's lifetime Oe their grand children's lifetime or their grand children's lifetime. This video shows the impact for anasteroid about 6 miles wide. Apophis is 250 meters wide. So while it would take out someplace like France, its NOT a world ender

  • @Baronstone Thanks for telling me :-)

  • By this year, we'd probably be able to blow the meteor up without it killing us all -_-

  • For some reasing i hiink nasa lieing because first Nibiru Then Hephiles And Now Apophis

  • @Pedddt Ugh... There is NO such thing as NIBIRU! The world isn't going to end anytime in the next few billion years. Now, that being said, there is a chance that when apophis grazes our atmosphere in 2029 that it might pass through this small section of space that will bring it into contact with us in 2036. Even if it hit dead center of Texas in 2036 it wouldn't destroy the planet, just Texas!

  • @Pedddt

NASA never confirmed Nibiru existed. Planet X is only a term used by several individuals who believed another planet was nearby from a recently discovered one. Nibiru isn't real.

Apophis is REAL. It's a confirmed asteroid on a course to swing by close to Earth in 2029, so close that you'll be able to see it by the naked eye. It caused a lot of concern in 2004 when it was first discovered, due to the fact that it may hit Earth, in which it still may if it hits our gravitational keyhole.

  • My Grandpa Said To Me: ''Even The Cavemen Thinked It's The End When A Earthquake Came Or A Volcano Erupted''

  • the Asteroid in 2182 has a one-in-a-thousand chance of an impact 170 years from now asteroid Apophis, which has a 1 in 250,000 chance but there is no danger from apophis here are some odds Chances of dying from an asteroid hitting Earth: 20,000 to 1. Chances of being killed in an airplane accident: 355,318 to 1.

  • hi all i'm an astronomer 99942 Apophis is not a threat in 2013 or 2029 NASA scientists have recalculated the path of a large asteroid. The refined path indicates a significantly reduced likelihood of a hazardous encounter with Earth in 2036. it mean in 2036 apophis as a four-in-a-million chance so it all means is that this Asteroid is no threat to earth in 2013 2029 or 2036 my job is i track asteroids and comets the only threat from an asteroid is 170 years from now in 2182

  • So there isn't a high chance of this happening, that's good news :) But can someone please answer this, if it hits in 2036, will New York be affected?

  • @JukeB0xHero8996

The path of risk/impact has the asteroid landing in west Russia to far eastern Russia, central Pacific Ocean, through to the coastline of California, Nicaragua, Mexico, Columbia, Venezuela, then to the Atlantic Ocean and ending somewhere near the coastline of the continent of Africa.

  • dude a little meteor will not to that much damage but some damage but serously that much no way

  • @TheOGHazardI This Killer Meteor is full of creepers ^.^

  • Apophis WILL come. I know that for sure, because it is in our orbital route BUT there is the smallest chance for hitting Earth. It will pass right through. I bet this kid hasn't even looked up anything fact about Apophis

  • too many doomsday

I can imagine people in 150AD predicting an apocalypse for year 500,1000,1500, and such, while people these day predicting year such as 1999, 2000,2001,2011,2029,2036

The world end when you die. End of story

  • @Megadeth72 I Believe Worlds Would Not End But Only A Race Would .

    u

  • @Archimagedonn The world can fuck end stupid ass, people life's can only end when they die so don't make it seem like when people life's end the world end's.

  • @freebootypack Boy, Unless You Are Talking About A Blackhole, The World Can't End . Besides, You Look At The Many Extinctions In Earth's History . None Of Them Resulted In The World Ending . And Please Learn How To Spell , You Little Boy .

  • @Megadeth72 1999 isnt one. 2000 was possible but a lot of industries fixed it. 2001 9/11..? 2011 is a fuckn christian with a bunch of retarded followers. 2012 (very possible)

  • @kingeggzzz 2012 Is NOT possible! If you knew even a small amount about astronomy you would know that there is no way that some mystery planet is heading towards us. You would see the other planets being perturbed and we just aren't seeing that.

  • @Baronstone Please back your statements with evidence because last time I checked. Oh and I never said some planet. I'm not a nut. My great grandfather is in a group that owns this world. His group is all about astronomy and science. I know what has happened and what will happen. Stay in line unless your going to make correct claims that arent from youtube videos of 14-30 year old fools talking like as if they have taken any classes.

  • @Megadeth72

I agree with there being a lot of wack-job doomsdayers, they have all been incorrect thanks to time giving us the answer.

However, Asteroid Apophis is a real asteroid and is a real threat to Earth if it hits our gravity keyhole pull in 2029 which is a very unlikely chance. When it does hit the gravity keyhole, it's course will change and swing back to smack us head on in 2036. Keep in mind that the figure/chance for that to happen is always being revised by NASA.

  • @Megadeth72 2012

  • @Megadeth72 its so true man... people got to stop this bullshit

  • This video is Not a simulation of what the Apophis asteroid will cause in 2029. It is a simulation of a massive small moon sized object hinting earth. As far as i know no one has made a good video of what a Apophis sized object can do.

  • haha voll übertrieben dargestellt mit dem feuer xD

  • Im not a science major, but isnt that explosion a little overexaggerated with an asteroid that size? I know they can be devistating with the mass and velocity as it is....

  • i thought it said ''apples in 2029 or 236'' lol

  • not possible - the end of the world is this year already.

    :PPP

  • Time to work on some fallout vaults

  • *Meteor hits America* AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    *Meanwhile in China* TROLLFAIC.

  • @TheChaosWaffle That would be a short Troll Face Seeing How The ShockWave Of Fire Would Reach Them In About 2 seconds After impact xD!

  • The answer to the title question "apophis in 2029 or 2036" is: Neither. Have a nice day people!

To the believers in these apocalypse thoeries: Go worship the god Apophis before he smites you with his wrath.

  • meh we'll have some sort of super advanced defense mechanism by then

  • @XxxMayorB33xxX duh, hopefully we'll be off this planet by 2029 or 2036 LOL

  • Actually the chances of getting hit with this meteor are higher than the chances of dying by airplane accident or lightning. So... this isnt the usual apocalyptic crap. It might actually be true.

  • i rely dont think it would be that big

  • Comment removed

  • I doubt a meteor would b the size of our moon, apophis is only the size of two teenis fields

  • I want it is true.....it's amazing,but I don't believe that

  • "Nothing will survive"

    *cough* Chuck Norris *cough*

  • "nothing will survive" someone needs to give this kid an education.

by his logic if i through a pebble at a tree the tree will fall over and catch on fire.

  • NASA says 99942 Apophis will NOT impact Earth in 2029, but might (with a chance of 0.000004%) of striking the Earth in 2036

  • @jerricchong And thus we go back to reaper2oox's comment. Simply, no.

  • @jerricchong uh oh, that sounds bad...

  • First of all , an asteroid of that size will be almost dezintegraded while crossing the atmosphere , and even if it lands , according to NASA it will hit sea and the impact could cause a 80 to 100 metres tsunami so the world will survive

  • this is not a good simulation there is no sound in space so dramatic music cannot play while an asteroid destroys the earth. :P

  • Bruce willis ftw

  • haaa tooooo small

  • By a hit of an asteroide, the Earth turns into a sun?

  • @ExoVampire Thats what im sayin! I call BS

  • chances are 1:45000. I don't think it's gonna hit us

  • it already came..landed on my backyard!!

  • that comes in 295864753658699687758697000 years haha

  • maaan i want to surf on those giant waves soo baad!

  • ähhh-why so much fire?

  • Did someone say real life version of RAGE :3

  • or 2050 or 2101 or 2102 or 2103 or 2104

  • A bit over exaggerated

  • @jmarmario1 I don't think it's exagerated, since disaster that asteroids do can be more than that (notice if a 1 kilometer asteroid hit the earth at 20 Km/s ! could you imagine the energy that it would spread ? maybe thousands times the Hiroshima nuclear bomb )

  • @hunter200678 Well im no einstein, but do me a favor and look at 2:30. That looks liek the damn sun!! Im just sayin, i doubt half of the entire earth would light up in flames like that. check this out /watch?v=1NyG4q4HK08&feature=related

  • The astroeroid would hit the earth with a force of 550 megatons of explosive, the strongest nuke we set off was 50 megatons, this is just a large city destroyer

  • I cant really beleive any apocalyptic things right now

  • Greatings from R.Emmerich

  • its the size of the rose bowl.. it will do some damage but wont end us..

  • It's around 300m wide lol....

    It won't destroy Earth.

  • how exagerated can this be?? apophis' diameter is only about 270m.... so this animation may look good, but it is far from what is going to happen if the asteroid hit the earth... btw an asteroid does not have a train ;)

  • Hit the middle east! (We never needed it anyway)

  • The asteroid that wiped the dinossaurs (but not all life on earth) was about 3 miles long...

Apophis is no longer than the empire state buildind, so you can clearly see the exageration of this video. Nice special effects though...

  • @cheezoncrack

Wait, I think it was almost 10 miles long... either way, it only helps the point I was trying to make...

  • Hmmm, Mjam .... Mjam ....

    Chicken McNuggets

  • 2029 or 2036 nasa will still shoot it down

  • Actually if meteor that size hit Earth, the Earth would be destroyed due to magma tsunamis... it just would take about a day or 2 before the entire Earth was covered. At least that's what scientists say.

  • if it destroys china or japan it will take LONG to get new special effects T.V's and new xbox and/or playstation!! DONT HIT THOSE HIT ermmm...... Asia?

  • You can't kill the metal

    The metal will live on

Apophis will try to kill the Metal. But he will FAIL cause he will miss the eartch by 33.000km.

    No-one can destroy the metal

The metal will strike you down with a vicious blow

  • nuke the bastard

  • Asteroid: Yeah! I'm gonna hit a planet and wipe out all life!

Earth's asteroid defense and deflection team: NOPE.

  • I just want to say one little thing. This guy who thinks he is right is wrong because the earth has excisted in million years and the risk for Apophis to collide with the earth is minimal. If i was wrong the earth would have been destroyed in many years ago

  • I wounder how many people actully think all you have to do is blow it up with a nuke or something like that.

  • and europe (us) are all like cmon cant u wait till we sleep

  • i noticed a pattern about the predictions. #1 was 2000 #2 was 2012 and i bet the third will be 2024 and then 2038 and so on and so on...

  • @zxzc77 ok it went from 2000 to 2012 that doesnt make it a pattern lol u need more then that bro to assume its a pattern come on

  • @BigG619 im just assuming...but you never know, i might be right, which would be very funny :D

  • Oh and you know say maybe in 2014 or so there will be a new end of the world prediction JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP

  • Is'nt any of you guys thinking that in 2036 we would have such a powerful weapon, that it could destroy such a shitty thing ?

  • @sykelole2

I would hope so. Infact, we should be investing money right now into developing technology specifically to protect the Earth from planet-killing objects. We're confined to a single planet, which is a massive existential risk until we've spread out and colonised other worlds, you'd think protecting Earth would be at the top of our list of priorities in the mean time. Unsurprisingly, it doesn't seem to be.

  • @ZeeZarian There is a rating system for planet-killing NEOs, and currently, nothing warrants any serious risk. When something is found, you can bet that everyone will be working on a solution. This isn't hollywood. We won't be finding out about the end of the planet 12 days in advance.

  • scary, still got time to prepare....

  • I will be ready to die in 2036...that year i ll do a bungi jump,a track day in a stolen Buggatti Veyron, rob a bank, get credit on items which say"buy now,pay 2037",before the asteroid hits,i ll fuck a 19 yr old blonde then have a spliff...... look forward to it already!

  • 0:39 :

    A burning rock in space...

    no air, no fire

  • call 911 earth is burning!

  • very exagerated

  • 0:58 WTF BOOOOOOM

  • If you thinking a bout the by an a real life then by yes,but think not hapining

  • that's true but is not at a comet in 2029 but 2036 is the miss earth miss too!

  • Comment removed

  • the meteor isn't big enuf to engulf the whole of earth, maybe a nuclear explosion at most.

  • Pretty, but kind of stupid when it makes a sound as soon as it hits. Sound doesn't travel that quickly.

  • 1:33 AUSTRALIA NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO's!

  • Never do the videos because is not hapining

  • so beautiful

  • no

  • earth.... ur made in china -.-

  • Chuck Norris Playing Golf nothing to worry about guys!

  • lol the new mini sun

  • guys guys it is fake the people just said 2011 will eand earth now 2036 blah blah blah it is a joke only god knows when

  • @xxvelovexx YES! if the earth WERE to go out in 2036 then god would change the date. FINALLY someone gets it!

  • this is a joke, the asteroid Apophis is only the size of a skyscraper it will not destory the whole earth, it is tiny in comparison with meteors that have hit earth in the past, it will pass under our orbit in 2020 and there is a v.small chance it will rebound in 2030ish

and if it does rebound.... we will obviously perform an "Armageddon" type mission and blow that shit up, dont worry we aren't dying yet, besides we will probably have a base on mars by then

  • And the earth was like: ASSHOLE!!! IT TOOK ME BILLIONS OF YEARS TO GROW THIS MUCH LIFE!!! DIIIIICCCCCCCKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I smell something burning...

  • Weird, for the first time I don't care that the physics in this video are rubbish, it just looks awesome ;)

  • End of the world here end of the world there just stay home and play GTA

  • guys, you're wrong.

    1) he come in year 2036.

    2) the chance, that the asteriod will hit the earth is 2,7%. look at wikipedia :)

    3) the asteriod dont will destroy the whole earth! dont care ;)

  • @Kill0n3 you need a better translator xD

  • @Kill0n3 2.7%? those are pretty bad odds.

  • @Kill0n3 we have 30k+ Nukes on earth !

  • @Kill0n3 But chance still is!

  • @Kill0n3 u should read it more carefully buddy, chances are 0,0000043% wohooo!

  • @Kill0n3 Your grammar sucks.

  • Comment removed

  • @cheezoncrack Your mother sucks.

  • @Kill0n3 This video sucks.

  • @Kill0n3

    1) It will first pass in 2029. If it passes through a small area in space nicknamed the "keyhole", it will likely make a second pass in 2036. There are multiple sources that explain this.

    2) Wikipedia isn't guaranteed to be accurate. I trust Wikipedia about as much as I trust your shitty aunt Judith's knowledge of asteroids.

    3) It's not big enough to alter the stock market (unless it hits the stock market)

    4) ???

    5) profit

  • @Kill0n3 It will actually hit between California and Hawaii.

  • Ohh dont worrry its going to be 1% 1/300 chance of hitting the earth and Jesus has us guys :)

  • you ignorant low life rat

    wanna feel important

    you still very much plain

    so drop the astronomy stuff
