Label reads: "This annular monoplane was developed by Mr G. Tilgham Richards based on Mr. G. J. A. Kitchen prior to 1910. The annular form was adopted with the object of reducing the overall size of the aircraft. Flight tests demonstrated that the machine was easy to fly and control. Take-off speed was 30 mph and maximum speed 85 mph. The outbreak of the First World War stopped further experimental work."

It is likely that the project was abandon due to complications of building this sort of shape in timber framework. Specialy, that in the same time bi- and eventually triplane aircrafts were widely introduced, which proably provided easer way of reducing wings span.
