Whilst Nathan Barely is 'honkjizz' of the finest caliber, I would say that it is occasionally nauseating to see Brooker and Morris's patronizing upper middle class disgust ooze out on occasion. On the pointless spleen that is wasted on irrelevances such as Soho media types, but also when it comes to straight blokes who 'wanna get gay'. It is a proper Hogarthian view of common types necessarily being seedy and filthy in order to achieve any gratification. Which seems an absurd generalisation...

thanks for posting these. Nathan Barley (the TV series) was really under-appreciated and overlooked. Just look at the level of detail in the background: all of the incidental music, the graphics, the piss-taking of modern "style mag" culture. I don't know what Chris Morris and Charlie Brooker are up to now, but I hope they haven't been discouraged.
