I wonder what the significance of stating Yen-Hsu's height in the video description? Is the poster of the video implying that Andy should not have lost to someone 5'-11"? That's not short for tennis standards by the way, considering Federer is, what, 6'-1" or something?
@TheSupertennisking Despite being Taiwanese myself, I highly doubt that Lu will be able to win a grand slam title by 2012 or even in his entire career with the way Djokovic and Nadal are playing and lets not forget about Roger ;)
Although I do agree that if Lu improved his service game he would be a much more threatening player to face
and I still think that Lu is currently one of the best asian players on the tour
@timafi he wasnt off he played his natural tentative game, and Lu and Gasquet and Tisarevic all outplayed Roddick at his natural game: tentative and like 5 ft back behind the baseline, which enabled them to play, at least Tips and Lu, the match of their lives (Wimby and USO 2010) if Roddick played the way he did in Miami 10 or all of 2001-2004 he would have won, but he didnt. He's naturally a tentative player now.
@Deadeye287 Tipsarevic also played Federer tough at the 2008 Aussie Open.
The new tactic Roddick seems to be using all too much now is the slice and his is short and floats right in the middle of the court.
I wonder why Roddick's first coaches didn't teach him how to use a proper slice back in the days instead of now and work on his backhand more and volley properly . Roddick runs either straight towards one side or the other or straight to the net post and gets passed.
Not so sure if Lu just got lucky because Andy was not in his usual form or if Lu is really someone to reckon with.. The next day, he lost quickly to noval Djokovic.
Roddick's biggest mistake this year was to bypass the clay court season the way he did.He played very well last year in Paris he made the finals at Wimbledon
he will never win Roland Garros but Roddick has got to stop that shit and go out there and play rallies after rallies after rallies during the clay court season. He ain't winning shit skipping the clay altogether!
I was there..I watched this match live at Wimbledon Court 2..Roddick was not playing aggressively enough..he played a lot from the baseline and didn't come to the net very often. LU took more chances and it paid off in the end..LU simply outplayed Roddick.
not his biggest upset. that was 200 us open against muller. lu is actually a well-respected player, highest ranked asian, and played great this match. i personally bet for lu and won some money :) would love to see him knock out novak next round but i dont know if he has it in him. regardless, im happy he made his first quarter in a major! roddick will have more chances in the future, hopefully, to clench that elusive wimbledon title...
Nowhere near his biggest upset.

Lu need jump into tennis court 24 inches, his serve should more powerful.
If Lu get super ACE weapon, he will win one grand slam champion in 2012.

This shows how one dimensional Sandy Roddick is. He has no speed just a serve.

I feel really bad for Roddick; he is off his game.. I mean honestly, if it weren't for federer, Roddick would have a lot more trophies.

@HCNguyen86 If Nadal didn't exist, Federer would have WAY more trophies.
Pwnderer 1 year ago
@Pwnderer but really, who doesn't believe that Roddick deserve to win another slam?
HCNguyen86 1 year ago
@HCNguyen86 I'd really like him to, but with talents like Federer, Nadal, Djokovic around, that seems unlikely
Pwnderer 1 year ago
@Pwnderer If Nadal didn't exist, Federer will beat more easy opponents and be more of a paper champion than he already is.

Lu will just be another Michael Chang. Andy was off that day and Lu just got lucky. That's all. See how Lu lost to Djokovic afterwards.

@garencetw
Well, Michael Chang had his days in the world of tennis. So that's not a bad thing... not bad at all.
BasketballStud99 1 year ago
@garencetw I guess Roddick was off when he lost in 2007 to Gasquet
2008 to Tipsarevic and this time to Lu or are you willing to admit that he was simply outplayed;which was the case?
timafi 1 year ago
@timafi every single time he loses to those guys he should beat, they get beat the next round in the slams. take a look.

Miami was a fluke imo
