I've been through all this, and I can totally understand this. No, I'm pretty sure Miku does NOT have depression. Look, many people do this all the time. Pretend to have depression, and get pity. They say they want to die and try to get noticed. Yet they dont-- if theyre given a ledge to die off of they won't. What Miku's doing here is making them challenge themselves with the want to die, feel it get rejected, then listen to Miku with "live your life to the fullest". It's quite simple.

I've been reading all these comments and I haven't seen anyone make this realisation yet. In the video and the lyrics of the song, Miku is talking to herself, like she's having a conversation with her self. She's telling herself to just do it, do it and then she tells herself not to, meanwhile while she's struggling with her own depression she still has to help her friends. And at the end there, where she has her back to all of her friends and huddled in a ball and they run and help her now :)

I guess you could look at it that way, though I don't. In my opinion, Miku isn't talking to herself, but talking to her friends- and their 'suicidal' attitude is causing Miku to fall into depression.

I like the ending though- the effect with the colours are really beautifully done.

She's getting exhausted dealing with all of their burdens at once and snaps at them to just do it already if they're going to keep threatening it, but at the same time she doesn't really want them to kill themselves (she appears upset/guilty looking in some of the scenes). At the end she freaks out on all of them in a huge rant and they finally realize how lucky they are to have her, so they try to help their friend cheer up.
