  • I like all of your concepts. As an opera singer, I notice your style stays on the fringes of what is taught to sing fully. Great for pop/rock though.

  • @rovingdesertfox I was actually taught classically and just transferred what I learned to rock.

  • that's awesome I'm going to start learning singing like this. Just wanna to give my voice little more power. I really like Tim Ripper Owens vocals :)

  • What happens if u get a lil dizzy?

  • Wow, this is awesome! Me and my brother just tried this, and have never been good singers, but based on this vid and 5 minutes of Gillette-inspired screaming, we're hitting notes we've never hit before!

  • im pretty sure that guy is not a newbie, he must have been practicing long time ago

  • Yep. It's not brain science!

  • How do you work on getting that real tone in your falsetto though, like Adam Lambert and Robert Plant?

  • get a haircut hippie!

  • how would you describe phil anelmo's high notes on early pantera albums? it seems like a head voice/falsetto hybrid type thing. would that be like a reinforced falsetto?

  • esse exercicio fez toda diferença do mundo pra mim, obrigado!

  • thats way to high for most people, what is he female or what

  • @MultiSnotface Falsetto.

  • lol i can do this xD

  • heheh...now he sounds like Prince :)

  • nniiiiiiicccee!!! Jaime, what was the highest note the student reaches? Soprano B is a B5?

  • The True Metal vocal style \m/

  • nice dude! this concept you just talked about really clicked with me.

    BTW I got your book

  • Chewbacca at 2:59? :D

  • how is one meant to get those highs even in falsetto, at about 4:45 my voice cracks up into squeaks, i'm disappointed with myself, can you advise

  • @stebolian

It's called practise :) No other way around.

  • how do i get past 4:57, i am sounding squeaky and fried

  • hi venderaj , i get to around 4:57 , then i seem to have two or three mixed vibration tones that sound messy like a fry type sound, i have gotten higher though in 2 days, i just didn't realize i was doing it wrong all these years, what do i do to get to the next pitch up,

  • im learning this to do araya's scream from angel of death by slayer xD

  • don't try this at home unless u really know what your doing - u will wreck ur voice

  • @MrChubbleyWarner Any tips on how to avoid messing your voice up?

  • Hey there' i'm confused, is this falsetto with a cutting tone applied or some sort of adducted head voice? :)

  • It's adducted head voice. Technically, Falsetto is incomplete adduction and cannot grow in to a loud sound. But, it is still common to call men's high voice falsetto.

  • @GaryProVox yer i can only get that high with my cods abducted and zipped, which is kinda whistle isnt it, my falsetto wont go higher than half of what he does

  • "Im gonna get you my pretty" xD lmao

  • omg this fking rocks. thank you so much for this.

  • its an expression that is widely used. People put brain surgery and rocket science together as a joke.

  • its not like ive been under a rock or anything but ive never heard it maybe its a dying expression

  • well he didn't mess up the expression. it was done purposely. Jim Gellete taught him that too. no he didn't...maybe he did. I dont know.

  • So would reinforced falsetto be a head voice with a falsetto tone applied or what?

  • The keyboard stand even looks like a Saturn rocket. Is this a setup?

Go on you got me, you can come out now

  • "CUT!".... no let's just carry on knowing I've just made a terrible error

  • I actually found this to be beneficial - thank you for posting. It will help me in what I'm attempting to do. And I thought I knew it all - ha ha.

  • shoot i just had rocket surgery just last week!

  • Ruined the vid for me all I can think about is the technicalities of cutting open a 12 metre Saturn second stage S-IV

  • that's pretty cool.. and it actually works, wow!! but i do have something to ask.... will i crap myself if i push down? lol...

  • lol there was a beat frequency there.

  • 'rocket surgery'

    bahahahahaa

  • These vocal philosophies are absolutely correct!

  • singing.... man. lol.

  • Hi Jamie, I don't know if you heard of Brett Manning but he demonstrates an exercise he calls the pharyngeal. Is this the same as reinforced falsetto?

  • Soo its basically what some people chose to call Head voice?

  • Falsetto is NOT Head voice

  • Yeah but this "reinforced falsetto" they are talking about sound pretty much like what I call head voice.

You cant scale up into true falsetto from what I know.

  • This is more of a false truesetto, imo.

  • Ehh.....yeah okay.

Wait whats a true truesetto then?

  • :p I was just being a jackass. True Falsetto / False Truesetto. Oxymoron libs, yo.

  • wakakakak

  • Lol

  • so what's the difference between head voice and falsetto? :P

  • you'll hear a lot of answers but the truth is pure head voice is falsetto

  • make's sense :D!

  • head voice and falsetto arent the same thing...the reason peopl think they are the same thing is cuz they both resonate around the same area in the head falseto is a breathy very airy tone and has limits dynamic wise and head voice has a more fullerand richer tone

  • Thats what I thought. Alot of people keep telling me otherwise.

  • i'm new to falsetto, how do i actually achieve it? what is the technique?

  • Its not "Rocket Surgery"?????

  • Rocket Science + Surgery = Rocket Surgery...It's a joke;)

  • I did that on purpose;) I use that saying all the time;)

  • hahaha

that was one of frank caliendo's "bush-isms" when impersonating George W

    Rocket surgery

  • Not rocket surgery? lmfao!!!

  • lol... i just noticed that too

  • haha i just noticed

  • damn

  • damn that was high.. what was that last note?

  • Comment removed

  • I was a B5

  • Awesome, I love how the wrong way of doing it, is something a well known instructor who sells a "wonder course" online and on youtube has been destroying voices with. I am definitely going to inform some people about this video. Take a dump :) lol.... 5 stars.

  • wow great video, that student is going to be a great singer.
