Wow, this is awesome! Me and my brother just tried this, and have never been good singers, but based on this vid and 5 minutes of Gillette-inspired screaming, we're hitting notes we've never hit before!
how would you describe phil anelmo's high notes on early pantera albums? it seems like a head voice/falsetto hybrid type thing. would that be like a reinforced falsetto?
hi venderaj , i get to around 4:57 , then i seem to have two or three mixed vibration tones that sound messy like a fry type sound, i have gotten higher though in 2 days, i just didn't realize i was doing it wrong all these years, what do i do to get to the next pitch up,
It's adducted head voice. Technically, Falsetto is incomplete adduction and cannot grow in to a loud sound. But, it is still common to call men's high voice falsetto.
@GaryProVox yer i can only get that high with my cods abducted and zipped, which is kinda whistle isnt it, my falsetto wont go higher than half of what he does
Hi Jamie, I don't know if you heard of Brett Manning but he demonstrates an exercise he calls the pharyngeal. Is this the same as reinforced falsetto?
head voice and falsetto arent the same thing...the reason peopl think they are the same thing is cuz they both resonate around the same area in the head falseto is a breathy very airy tone and has limits dynamic wise and head voice has a more fullerand richer tone
Awesome, I love how the wrong way of doing it, is something a well known instructor who sells a "wonder course" online and on youtube has been destroying voices with. I am definitely going to inform some people about this video. Take a dump :) lol.... 5 stars.
I like all of your concepts. As an opera singer, I notice your style stays on the fringes of what is taught to sing fully. Great for pop/rock though.

@rovingdesertfox I was actually taught classically and just transferred what I learned to rock.

Hey there' i'm confused, is this falsetto with a cutting tone applied or some sort of adducted head voice? :)

So would reinforced falsetto be a head voice with a falsetto tone applied or what?

Falsetto is NOT Head voice
ddrj5422 2 years ago
Yeah but this "reinforced falsetto" they are talking about sound pretty much like what I call head voice.
You cant scale up into true falsetto from what I know.
PennyDreadful1 2 years ago
This is more of a false truesetto, imo.
