  • If this guy stands behind his product he should do what the original bulletproof vest inventor did and shoot himself at close range while wearing the armour. Thats how you sell contracts to the government they need visual aid, think like your selling something to children with lots of money.

  • who is john galt

  • hmm what happend to all the videos of the ban and the side by side test made in germany with a 50 cal?

  • I bid on one of these yesterday on ebay.

  • Looks like the U.S. Military doesn't want their soldiers too protected.

  • The upper chest is exposed. More coverage

  • It needs a neck and throat protector.

And groin and lower back. All being able to stop AK ammo as well because AK is pretty much the primary weapon for the towel heads.

  • @Soldier1287 The problem is the impact of a bullet to the throat could seriously hurt or kill you even if the bullet is stopped.

  • Why should body armor be illegal?? It is a fabric vest... What is dangerous about a piece of clothing???

  • If you remember the 1990's Hollywood Shooting then you'd know that people are afraid of guys with body armor.

  • Oh, and also I forgot to mention that anything that is officially government owned is actually illegal to own unless you yourself are part of the gov or mil.

  • the US army ist full of BS!

  • Who cares, learn to shoot for the head, that solves all the body armour problems. Besides find me behind an engine block!!!!!

  • Hehe true, they really do need to start focusin more on helmets and full face helmet possibilities then just body armor:D

  • To be such world power-house, sometimes it seems to me that our country really hates change, even if its an improvement. Yea, as if center mass is the only way you can be killed. Best way to not get shot is to hide behind somthing, hey, oh yea nothing to hide behind in the desert. U.S. dosn't learn very well. Figuritive speaking that is.

  • Sounds like Army cover up by so called "Contract Representative Officers" with insider information falsifying tests so when they retire, come back to work for the same contractor making non-Dragon skin armour.

Millions of taxpayer's dollars wasted on less effective materials, just the tip of the iceberg.

  • this is the best self protection on the market today great for swat soldiers or even armed police and i think any armour that could take 200 armour piercing shots from some of the most advanced weponary there is than it could sure as hell take knife shots and bullets from the shit pieces of weponary that the taliban have and its a great piece of kit for a fair 5000$. think if you were pumped up with muscle and were wearing the grade 5 armour if you were shot it would proberly feel like a push

  • Dragon Skin was tested by the NIJ at angles of 0, 30, 45, 53, 55, and 60 degrees obliquity. The shots were also placed where the discs overlap. No penetrations, no failures. The ceramic SAPI plates only get tested at 0 degrees obliquity. In fact, NIJ had to develop entirely new test procedures and protocols for a flexible body armor system.

  • ceramic sap? where does this come from

  • that weakness applys to big shapes of metal, such as knives. yes ur right about the knives ut not about the direct hit thing.

  • invesitagive? whats that?
