  • I GOT UP TO BOWSER. IN 3 HOURS

  • you have flud not this thing but cool!

  • Haha I loved this, the kids' comments were great. "Yeah, Bowser's kind of dumb...but he's cool." "And thennn sitting on top of the volcano..." 'It's over, Lacy' (?) Fun game but Galaxy completely owns it in level design and bosses.

  • No. No. You must be kidding me. Galaxy was a COMPLETE fail. I hated it! There was so much wasted time watching mario fly around and then like blast off, instead of real gameplay. Plus it was easy as crap. It was also annoying how gravity was screwed up. Sunshine was and is amazing. It is also FREAKIN HARD, but that what makes it so fun. Nobody say Galaxy owns cause it fails. It only "owned" because it was for the Wii and Sunshine got no attention cause it was for GC.

  • Please. There is more action in any given Galaxy stage than there is in most of Sunshine where you spend 90% of the time wandering around aimlessly looking for blue coins or doing chores. And saying watching Mario fly between each planet "takes too long" is moronic! No offense but do you have ADD? It's like saying "Samus riding the elevators between stages ruined Metroid Prime for me!" Also, Galaxy has much better boss fights than both Mario 64 and Sunshine.

  • Oh, and saying Sunshine is more challenging and longer than Galaxy is like saying Yoshi's Story on N64 is much harder and longer than Yoshi's Island SNES. Go beat Dreadnought's Cannons without taking a single hit or Luigi's Purple coins and tell me it's easy. Just two examples of many.

  • Also, the Fludd cannon was a great concept, I had a lot of fun with it, I'll say that much.

  • Okay wow. Galaxy was not bright, not colorful, very boring too me and terribly boring. Woo hoo you can try to beat a level withought getting hit. In sunshine it takes skill to get blue coins or to beat those "secret levels" where he takes fludd away and you have to play original mario style. Yeah and in Galaxy he does fly and its friggen boring and you do shit and yeah I do have ADD you jerk. My friends agree with me Sunshine is hard, creative, and pwnage. Galaxy to me sucked and it was too easy

  • Like I said, the Fludd cannon was a good concept. It's the EXECUTION of the rest game that fell flat. And of course the non-Fludd levels were great! You just nailed one of the game's key problems, Sunshine's bonus stages are better than the main game itself!

  • "Woo hoo you can try to beat a level without getting hit." Right, because I felt so satisfied and challenged rocketing up that giant tree in Pianta village without encountering any enemies in almost the entire level! One example of many. The Fludd is cool, but the main levels are easy for a Mario game, just admit it.

  • Sunshine: "Please explore this big open space spraying things, looking for blue coins. We'll also give you 5 hits of energy which you have little chance of needing since the few enemies you'll fight are either pushovers or can simply be avoided. Maybe you'll get lucky and find a bonus stage where you'll need real skill. Oh and you can ride Yoshi but his only purpose is to throw up fruit juice so you can go inside some of the pipes." Wow, what an amazingly balanced game Sunshine is!

  • The ADD comment was out of line though, I do apologize for that.

  • It's the exact opposite with my brother and all of our friends. My best friend Stuart just started playing Galaxy, he's only 25 stars in and already says it's the clear winner in his opinion. Galaxy's review ratings across the board are much higher than Sunshine. Why? Because maybe most people can tell that a lot more effort and enthusiasm was put into making Galaxy?

  • I guess i just like the originals. i think sunshine has more of a storyline than galaxy, and yes there is less action, BUT, there is loads of platforming and such. In galaxy most of the times you CAN"T fall off the edge. Also i thought red coin challenges were fun in sunshine. The yoshi ones were sometimes really hard like the rico harber one, and i think its easier to keep track of stars, blue coins, etc. in sunshine then in galaxy where its all spread out and sort of annoying.

  • I had no problem keeping track of Shines but blue coins were murder, they were scattered in a million corners all over the game. And you think things in Galaxy were "spread out all over the place and annoying"? They should have at least had a counter or radar or something. In Galaxy the purple coin challenges were nicely balanced and made for some creative missions within the levels. And there are many places in Galaxy where you can fall off into a black hole.

  • Anyways, to each their own. If you like Sunshine better that's cool. And sorry if I was rude at first, but I still stand by my reasons.

  • Galaxy: Only three bars of energy, certain enemies like Thwomps kill you with just one hit not to mention all the one-hit Daredevil missions, avoiding the various black holes, I could go on, case closed.
