BBC:美國和越南準備在南中國海海域的越南中部海岸舉行聯合海軍演習，參加演習的包括美國第七艦隊的航空母艦。
據報，剛從美國與韓國在日本海舉行的聯合軍演中返回的美軍第七艦隊的喬治華盛頓號航空母艦也將參加美越軍演。
美國第七艦隊發表的一份聲明，把這次為期一周的軍演稱為「一系列海上演練活動」，因為重點是非戰鬥的演習，比如海上搜索和救援活動等。
聲明還說，喬治華盛頓號航母前往南中國海是為了慶祝美國和越南建交15週年。
不僅是航空母艦，美國海軍還帶著三艘驅逐艦組成的艦隊回到南中國海。
與此同時，另一艘美國驅逐艦約翰麥凱恩號也抵達越南峴港。

事實上民國在1912年建立，當時中國處於亂世。民國初期都是軍閥掌權，什麽袁世凱，段祺瑞，軍閥之間爭權把中國搞得亂七八糟，百姓遭殃，民國政府并沒有真正意義上統治中國。所以1921年共產黨成立了，由於共產黨的服務對象是農民階級，所以失去平民擁護的國民黨最終失勢。我爺爺是國民黨，他當時是被强制拖去當兵的，而共產黨士兵都是自愿當兵的，結果可想而知
