My grandmother died in 2007 due to pancreatic cancer. She battled it for 2 years and lost, but we all loved her through it. Though i spent almost every weekend with her and loved her alot, i didnt cry for her until a year or two after her death. I feel awful about it, but this song helps. @TheBaliCottage good luck. I babysat a child for a whole summer and a few months after that he found out he had a brain tumor. He was only 9. Unfortunately he didn't make it, but he change so many live and he was very brave. I hope you fair better than he did. This June 1st my mother will be celebrating 12 years remission from breast cancer. She is the strongest woman I know she was just 31 when she was diagnosed and she pulled through for my brother and I who were only 10 and 4. She had a full masectomy in october...and it isnt healing right due to the radiation from her prior treatments. This song is motivating for her-its her strength. Whenever I listen to this song it makes me cry a little. Because way back when I was in 5th grade my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. She was diagnosed at 38, and has three loving daughters. My dad was supportive through the whole thing. I watched with my own eyes as they got closer and closer and the love got stronger than it was and I personally didnt think it was possible. They had to remove her left breast but it doesnt matter, because she was one of the many survivors. Shes my idol.
its definitely hard to watch a loved one go through cancer.. My mom had cancer for 3 and 1/2 years and they only gave her 6 months to live. She passed away in August 2010 but its still hard even to this day and i still cry alot but you have to think if someone has passed away from cancer that there not in pain anymoree and there cancer free<3 thats how i think of my mom now.

When I was diagnosed my spouse did not care & did not give me support, I suffered in silence alone with God and my children. After my surgery to remove the cancer; it was my girls who were 9 and 10 and my 14 year old son that took care of me and their toddler brother while I was so sick. Martina McBride sings songs that have true meaning and touches our hearts. This is a powerful song that shows what "through sickness and health" and "family and friends" really mean. I am 2 years cancer free and I thank God for people like Martina who sing and talk about issues like this instead of songs that talk of killing and sex. If her song makes someone go get a checkup because something doesn't feel right and it saves their life, then this song has done what it was meant to do.

Got the Test done now to wait 2 weeks for the result. But according to what he said he doesn't think it's cancer yay. I cant wait for the results to get the positive though gonna be a tough 2 weeks waiting. Thanks for all the prayers everyone keep them coming there working.

@TheBaliCottage good luck. I babysat a child for a whole summer and a few months after that he found out he had a brain tumor. He was only 9. Unfortunately he didn't make it, but he change so many live and he was very brave. I hope you fair better than he did. Remember always stay strong and brave even when all hope seems lost you'll have people there to lean on. Again good luck.

This June 1st my mother will be celebrating 12 years remission from breast cancer. She is the strongest woman I know she was just 31 when she was diagnosed and she pulled through for my brother and I who were only 10 and 4. She is the greatest woman alive and I hold all the men women and children who struggle with the same as what I went through in my thoughts and prayers

Lost my Mom to cancer when I was 17, she fought for 4 years.. Wish my Dad had supported her like this song describes. My Mom cried about not feeling like a woman after the 1st surgery so this song rings true in so many ways. Cancer destroyed our entire family and nothing will ever be the same. All I could do was love her though it. . .

I am almost 2 years cancer free and this song hits home in more ways than one. I have a friend who just had thyroid cancer surgery and thank God all went well. It is refreshing to hear songs like this one that have a message and makes people think. Hope to hear more from this wonderful artist. Martina is one of my all time favorites

My mom was diagnosed this past year for the 2nd time. The first time she had just had me and my sisters (triplets-natural!) and my older brother. She survived to raise us. we are now all adults. She had a full masectomy in october...and it isnt healing right due to the radiation from her prior treatments. This song is motivating for her-its her strength. It's so inspiring....its unbelievable how much this song helps all of us cope and get through the day.. !!!!

Whenever I listen to this song it makes me cry a little. Because way back when I was in 5th grade my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. She was diagnosed at 38, and has three loving daughters. My dad was supportive through the whole thing. I watched with my own eyes as they got closer and closer and the love got stronger than it was and I personally didnt think it was possible. They had to remove her left breast but it doesnt matter, because she was one of the many survivors. Shes my idol.

its definitely hard to watch a loved one go through cancer.. My mom had cancer for 3 and 1/2 years and they only gave her 6 months to live. She passed away in August 2010 but its still hard even to this day and i still cry alot but you have to think if someone has passed away from cancer that there not in pain anymoree and there cancer free<3 thats how i think of my mom now.

I am a 3 1/2 year breast cancer survivor. Family, friends, prayer and determination kept me going. Chemo really sucked, radiation was not bad, and all the testing. My husband was my rock throughout this all and I love him with all my heart. May God bless you all who have been chosen to have cancer and the family who will love you through it.

My mom has cancer for the 3rd time :( She has 6 kids. Ages 9,19,13,14,16,and 20. She has a 15% chance to live and she might die next year. My mom means everything to me, She tries to be tough and so do I. She is a single mother we have no where to go if she leaves. @LiveLaughTummble Don't think you have no one else.You have your siblings.I know its hard when a family member has cancer.My grandma had it.She lived with me and I watched her and helped her take care of her.She was there since I was 4.I'm 11.She died in July.In September my granddad was put in a nursing home because of the same reason.I spent the last year with nurses and people taking care of my grandma and grandad.I still cry about it.Its ok to be scared but don't feel as if your alone.

When I was diagnosed my spouse did not care & did not give me support, I suffered in silence alone with God and my children. After my surgery to remove the cancer; it was my girls who were 9 and 10 and my 14 year old son that took care of me and their toddler brother while I was so sick. I feel so blessed to have them, but I feel guilty because they had to be the ones who waited on me & took care of their toddler brother. They hugged me everyday & told me they loved me. I was 35

Martina McBride sings songs that have true meaning and touches our hearts. This is a powerful song that shows what "through sickness and health" and "family and friends" really mean. I am 2 years cancer free and I thank God for people like Martina who sing and talk about issues like this instead of songs that talk of killing and sex. If her song makes someone go get a checkup because something doesn't feel right and it saves their life, then this song has done what it was meant to do.
