I found out the best way to extract a botfly is to suffocate it by taping over where it is for a day, and then push it out.

@theangeldark We tried pulling one of the other ones out with tweezers. Little bastards popped, half of it went inside my leg and rotted and gave me a low grade infection.We decided maybe it wasnt the best option to do it again.

@DJMKN93 The botfly lays its eggs on a mosquitos' proboscis and the eggs implanted in you when you get bitten. I got bitten alot, cause I never used enough DEET.

@chynnaxx This was the only one we got on video. There are pictures of the other ones though. And no, they weren't painful at all really. The gasping you here is exertion. When the botflies are inside, and when they move, it's incredibly painful though, probably the worst pain I've had in my entire life.
