  • how to download it.........plessssssss help...

  • what about dx11?

  • frames per second, that's all what is PC about now.

  • oh and sorry for double post but i have HD 5650 brand new today on windows 7. i have dx9 and dx10 and dx11. but i cant seem to run games on 10.1. crysis, AC, AC2 and ect... these games just cant run on 10.1 on me. and i really could use that extra ~10 fps

  • stupid fanboys. i like ATi and i think its better than nvidia BUT i dont think that nVidia sucks. every fanboy must respect his opponent.

  • Where I can find directx 10.1???

  • @fingerz1994 Open your computer. Look for your graphics card. There it it.

  • I know this has nothing to do with the video, but i saw the comments.

I hate how physx and/or other software ONLY run on ATI or NVidia cards. It's just annoying.

and the fanboys are just as bad.

I don't really care whose card I have, as long as it's fast and not too expensive.

f intel releases some REAL video cards, I may just give it a try.

  • I just installed windows 7 How do i get direct X 10.1? or does it already have it in the OS if you dont have a DX 11 card.

  • lol this ad was to shout out that gtx series doesnt have directx 10.1 lol..... -.-

  • Nope GTX/GTS series does have 10.1. My GTS 250 has it, with Shader Model 4.0

  • i'm on directX 10 but my ati radeon HD4730 is capable of directX 10.1 i'm on win7 where can I get directX 10.1?

  • i'd like to know too,

  • I think that is built into the Windows

  • AMD FTW

  • I hate to sound noobish, but can i download directx 10.1 to my vista to improve perfomance of my current games, or does it come with a game or video card that supports it?

  • vista sp1 has directx 10.1 however to fully use it u need sp1 and a gpu with directx 10.1 support, if ur getting a new gpu now, get a directx 11 gpu and windows 7, best way to go about it now

  • performance is always a good thing, abotu the xbox it run dx9+(a dx9 version with some ft of dx10) but aniway xbox cant have the same graphic of a pc.

  • yea xbox can have mostly the same graphics as pc .... if you want to run your games at 2 fps ... its out dated hardware and optimized or not youre not going to get anywhere close to the performance/graphics out of a modern updated pc ..

  • where can i download directx 10.1

  • you jet it with a ati card and windows vista

  • ah so only performance? i wonder if Xbox360 uses this boost

  • I think the Xbox 360 only has DX9 hardware but don't quote me on that.

  • For example , i know the guy under me (MasterDOOM). He was stating in the forums of a local tracker that the ATI HD 4770 is beating up the GTX 260 from Nvidia. I don't believe it! That ATI is somewhere below 9800 GTX from Nvidia.. so it's nowhere around the GTX 260. So .. this makes me hate ATI .. . Why are you saying things that aren't true? Just for the fact that u like the red guys more than the green ones? Fuck , this turns you in an usual fanboy which makes me sick!

  • i think he might have meant the 4870

  • Nvidia fanboys are a lot worse, though. They flat out lie and make up benchmark results. But anyway, the AMD Radeon HD 4770 competes with the 9800GT and the GTS 250. And it's a great over-clocking card, too.

With good cooling, you can get it to 870MHz Core Clock (stock is 750MHz) and 4GHz Memory Clock (up from 3.2GHz).

  • I don't know what competitor from nvidia has that hd4770 . but i have to say that the card rocks! My bro got it in his new pc and damn ..i was amazed! I could mostly go around the highest detail on a 22" monitor. He wanted to buy a powerful card but as i'm his tech guy , i told him that the hd 4770 will do its job just fine!

  • Not to take sides or anything, but the 9800GT can easily oc to 1200MHz (core clock), a bit more than the 4770.

  • Higher memory bandwidth (Memory clock) is much important in these GPUs than Core clock speed since they're limited to around 60GB/s of memory bandwidth.

While the 9800GT may have a 256-bit interface, that can't be over-clocked, while you can over-clock the GDDR5 memory a lot on the 4770. It goes easily from 3.2GHz to 4.1GHz (and the memory chips are rated for 4GHz).

  • RTX94..there's really no single defining factor that translates into a better video card..yes maybe 9800gt may overclock better than 4770 but then i could argue too that 4770 uses gddr5 while 9800gt is either gddr2 or gddr3..it comes down to benchmarks =]

  • @suchAnoob 9800 gt with ddr2? ddr3 is on all 9800 gt's

  • HD4770 = 8800 GTX or 9800GT or 250GTS thats nice for that card

  • As for games, more games are made for Nvidia and they are compatible with Ati but still a game that favors Nvidia looks better.

  • If u mean that "the way it's meant to be played" logo from nvidia on every third game, then you're wrong. No game is better optimized for nvidia or better looking on a nvidia graphics card, some just can use nvidia's feature for improved physics (PhysX) like Batman Arkham Asylum and Mirror's Edge.

  • No I do not, I mean the the games have better display performance for Nvidia. While some are for ATI.

  • @Sterman99 i'm a noob and i like to comment on 1 month old videos. But i dont see where you got your info. "no game is better optimized for nvidia". Lots of games are more optimized for nvidia. resident evil 5 for one, and fallout 3 can be more optimized for nvidia most of the time.

  • Nop, u think game developers would make games to run better on nvidia cards even tho' ATI got 40% of the market and bring shit upon themselves? Some games just run better on nvidia cards and some on ATI. An example: the GTX 260 & the HD 4870 (which deliver a similiar performance). While the GTX outperforms the HD 4870 in Fallout 3, the HD 4870 outperforms the GTX 260 in GRID, but there's nowhere a logo of AMD/ATI to be had. Games are made to achieve the maximum performance on all graphics cards.

  • @Sterman99 hey man, i didn't say anything about the logo crap. their both different architectures so obviously a game can run better on cerain architectures and vice versa. and your right on "all GPUs" with the performance thing.

  • I have to say that i hate ATI because of what i got to read over the web. I'm now aiming at the fanboys! "UH , i got ATI , I'm the best! Ati rocks , nvidia sucks!" The same rule apply for the nvidia company! I hate when i see ppl that are writing down things that aren't true ! "I Got nvidia , my nvidia will rape ur ATI!". The final reason for which i hate Ati , is that i see people stating that some mid-range cards from Ati are better than some High-end solutions from Nvidia.

  • Yeah who gives a shit.

My graphics card does what I ask it to, and I'm not in the market for another one, so the fanboys are just an annoyance.

I have an nVidia fwiw, but I would just as soon use an ATI, as long as it has good OpenGL support.

  • why you "HATE" ATI ?? lol the idea that nvidia is better (thats ur opinion not mine) does not mean that the other suck ....

  • i dont'know, but for me nvidia is better

  • well i really never used ATI to know which is better but for some reason i like nvidia more 2 :D though i got ATI lol

  • @totioioio ATI used to make very very unreliable hardware and software. It could be that someone bought an ATI card for a lot of money, and then it broke, or something.

Personally, I think they're both fine. Nvidia makes more reliable products, but they're also more expensive.

  • @totioioio im not sure, but base on my opion nvidia is better, cuz both company are teh same, but just nvidia got PHSYX =)

  • how the fuck can u hate a company? please tell me? therre both good companies. and if it wasnt for ATI nvidia wouldnt have any compotition and then they would just sell there stuff EXTREMELY expensive coz they know people will have to by there stuff. compotition keeps prices down.

  • Yes you are the best Noob we Love ATI Radeon :)

  • I love ati

  • so 10.1 is more on performance than graphics?

  • OpenGL FTW.

  • hey guys i intend to buy a HD4770 but directX11 comes this October does it worth waiting? i really need a video card now!! does it worth buying it now?dx11 will have PixelShader 5.0 but i want to get a card now and i don't think ill have enough cash to buy another one and i don't want to wait because i can't play anything.

  • I agree with some other guys...Upgrading to Radeon 4770 is very wise choice! Strong Card for a good price and much better than almost any other 9 Series from NVidia ;-)

  • except 9800GT :P

  • VERY GOOD ATİ

  • is it still only vista witch runs this???

ps i will keep posting this untill i get a reply

  • Only Vista and 7 gets the DX10 and 10.1 but it's possible to use these on XP with specific game hacks. Most of them are for Crysis but good luk for the other games.

  • ati's the best!

  • Sweet!

  • nshitia, the ngreedia company owned by nvidiots, got GeForced.

  • made me lol, even though Im using a GeForce card atm, hopefully getting a Radeon 4770 in my next upgrade.

  • How 'bout Far Cry 2? I heard it also uses DX10.1

  • I've bought 3 ATI graphics cards in the past, but after seeing that ATI is dropping support for my Radeon X1950 PRO graphics card in the latest catalyst drivers, I'm thinking about buying an NVIDIA 9800 card... any suggestions?

  • Since HD 4830 is better than 9800 and HD 4770 is better than HD 4830, why not get HD 4770 ? (:

  • wrong.. 4770 actually scored slightly higher in benchmarks than the 4830....

  • Erm...thats what he said too ^^

  • for the same price tag as that of the nVidia 9800GT best that you go for a HD4770/HD4850... or if you had ideas of getting 9800GTX, go with HD4870/HD4890... Anyways, ATI gives 30% increased fps for the same price tag

  • FTW FTW

  • It is spelled "improvement".

  • intel n' Nvidia <3333324324333333241

  • Wow that's a big difference, too bad only a couple of games support it. :(

  • ATI FTW!

  • Go ATI!!!

ATI rules and pwns all the nshitia's ngreedia nvidiots!!!

  • N-shitia for the shit and ATI for the win.

  • dx 10.1 is 85% dx 11 ready offcourse it will make huge diffrence

  • DirectX10.1 is DirectX10 just as DirectX10 is DirectX9.0c in practice. It's all marketing. These performance differences are really easy to trick the consumer with - so don't get too worked up.

But in either way - a HD5870 in June/July along with Windows 7 is going to be incredibly interesting and I hope things goes as planned as AMD can snatch important DirectX11 space on the market 'til Nvidia counter with their bulky crap in October.

  • Ati FTW

  • AMD / ATi 4 LIFE.

  • epic?

  • No, H4X
