  • can you make some origami models by Jeremy shafer or daniel kwan?

  • @willrelio2609 For videos on models by Jeremy Shafer check his own channel: user/jeremyshaferorigami

  • I have another question, Sara.

I was making this model for the first time but when folding the tree layers from letter sized paper, the model gets too small, too fast. I was decreasing the tree layers in increments of around 25% ( shaving a quarter off the edges ). Do you think the model will still have the same effect if I decrease the tree layers in increments of around 20% ( shaving around a fifth off the edges )?

I look forward to your response.

  • @TheThinkingExpress Yes, I think that will still give you a nice effect.

  • bye

  • sorry im unsubscribing

im doing it cause i can nolonger do origami due to money issues i really engoyed the videos that you have took the time to make

    ;(

  • wow! what an outstanding tutorial! you explained this model in great detail

I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and all the best for 2012!

  • you are awesome

    thank you

  • thanks for tutorial Miss Sara ^^

  • Congratulations to Sara and Francesco:) i just finished making it and i love it! thank both of you so much.

  • too long, didn't make

  • I got my first tree layer and trunk done so far, it takes forever

  • odiei orrivel muito dificilllll

  • i made it was very fun and i am only 10 amazing work

  • 10:19

  • This is a great video...the instructions are so clear.

    The tree looks so pretty.

    Great job.

  • i wish i had the patience

  • can u just fold the flaps in instead withought cutting it

  • @origamijery Yes, if you prefer. It will give you some extra thickness in those areas, but as the model itself has few layers in the completed state, I think it should still be ok.

  • you cut the paper!

  • such a nice thing to see you folding again. THANX. sereosly, it's inspiring

  • Wow awesome ... Sara .... Happy Holidays and thank you.

  • Schönes Video - vielen Dank :-)))))

  • Do u know how to make a mermaid and panda??? I looked at the other video the mermaid is fantastic.

  • omg this would take me 2 hours...

  • no dislikes so far.....

  • @musicmixer112 never mind

  • Hello, Sara.

I was just wondering if it would negatively affect the model if I used the same size paper you used with measurements of 15cm, 12cm, 9cm and 6cm.

I really hate using scissors and/or machines to get proper measurements, hence the reason for my question.

  • @TheThinkingExpress It will look slightly different, but I'm sure just as wonderful. Especially for this model you can definitely vary the paper sizes a bit.

  • This is awesome!

  • Love your voice

  • Wonderful model!

I had surgery recently and can't fold, but re-watched all your videos just for the calm of watching a master folder explain amazing models very precisely.

Thanks for a new video, it's really appreciated. Now to figure out how to do this with one hand because I just can't wait!

  • Really neat model :D so excited to make one! I may take it into the office for decoration xD

  • Oh, that's a lovely model. Thanks for showing it to us!

  • I don't have enough sizes of origami paper. :( Ah well. So... do you plan on doing any origami paper giveaways anytime soon? :P

  • @CanwllCorfe615 You can cut larger squares to smaller squares. For example, I started with five 15 cm (6in) squares and cut down 3 of them. Also, you don't need to use exactly these sizes. Using slightly larger or smaller gaps between the paper sizes will still work, and you can change the look and feel of the tree with it to match your taste.

  • @AdamsSara How did I not think of that? Wow. I feel pretty stupid right about now!

  • @CanwllCorfe615

You don't need to purchase origami paper, I use printer paper and then trim to the desired size.

  • its awsome and in 3D thanks!

  • finally, your back! nice vid

  • Yay!

  • will you marry me? <3

  • One thing that I noticed was she is. I wearing her wedding ring

  • Amazingness and welcome back! ^.^

    Best regards,

    Francesco Guarnieri

  • @fguarnieri1 Thanks for designing it, making the crease pattern available, and - last but not least - giving me permission to demonstrate it. :)

  • @AdamsSara can you make a CP for the origami spinner that you DONT have to download

  • i love this model, it looks so realistic. wonder video!

  • This is so incredible. Math can be beautiful.

  • Thank you for sharring!!

  • I missed you! ^_^;

This is an awesome model... thanks!

  • I was real excited to fold this until I realized it uses four different sizes of paper. And they're not square to boot!

  • Great to see a new vid Sara, great one for this time of year!

    Thanks!

  • You're back! :D Woo hoo! Great vid!

  • Verry Good *thumpup*

  • Thanks Sara for a great idea for Christmas.

I am planning of making a bunch of those trees (some small and some big, and one ridiculously big like a smaller tree) out of waterproof paper (the paper is coated with like a nylon film or something) and putting them as a decoration in my yard for Christmas.

  • It's so awesome that you've made another video, Sara!

And what a beautiful model, too!

  • Thank you. Cullen

  • thank you so much i thought you had quit doing origami i had actually quit doing origami since you had quit thank you soo much!

  • @origami2day No, I didn't quit. I simply didn't have enough time to do origami for a while.

  • I understand that you do not have time to make videos (since it takes several days to prepare one) due to the changes in your life, but I was really surprised that you actually found time to prepare this Tutorial for this beautiful tree, and I thank you so much for your efforts! =)

  • Nice ;-)

  • Thank you so much. This is fantastic.

  • Thanks Sara! Your tutorials are always exceptional..... :)
