  • It's probs a custom made song based on melodies of some of the music in Streets of Rage, probably done on FL or something. All you need to make it is someone who is half decent at producing.

  • We shall never know what that song is.

  • aaahh the vibes from 90's dance music...

I fell young once again. thank you so much =]

  • Wtf@Food having a life bar. LOL

  • Its a remix of one of the songs from Streets of Rage, pretty much sounds like a remix, same beat and other similarities. I don't know the name of it off my head but it might be something from OCRemix.

Also this is a poor-man's SoR. Better to just play the real thing or to play the vastly-superior 'Streets of Rage Remake' v5. Just google for it.

  • I just downloaded that Ascension by Coretex and that is not the song you liars. What the fuck with the mystery of this fucking song.

  • @ThePieter550 Tell me about it...

  • @mott1982

The song is Coretex - Ascension.

    It's fun, isn't it? :)

  • Lyrics either say

    "You got me burning up"

    "You got me fired up"

the world will end before finding this darn song lol

  • FOR THE LOVE OF GOD WHAT'S THE NAME OF THE SONG!? :(

  • Can i download and play this on the Dingoo A-330 emulator? The music is on this is pretty smooth.

  • ps2 has nothing on sega genesis. From the look of things, the characters are way too big and i like the original characters better.. Although the music is great here though

  • blue mandy

  • HEY!!! Another one looking for this awesome tune!!! SIMPLY "BEATS" ME!!!!!!!!!

  • @ThePieter550 It's Ascension by Coretex.

  • @Cobalt32100 That's not it, I just downloaded the entire album, and even that song, it's not it

the vocal part reminds me ALOT of Black Box's Ride on time and Strike it up

  • this is awesome! I'm a fan of KOF and SOR, so i want this!

  • Also, has anyone tried using a song identifier app for the droid to figure out what the song is that's playing?

  • Intro is fucking sick but can't find it =(

  • can someone upload the music for me? the last boss and stage 4.

  • What's the name of the music that was played on the first stage?

  • serious... this game has been around for a while and snk has not copied it and took it as their official version???

  • I got a link for playlist

  • I had this for my dreamcast. ACE

  • SEEMS VERY INTRESTING INDEED. WONT MIND PLAYIN IT

  • Is this a real existing video game.

  • Y the hell do they keep changing streets of rage, it's a great game without these cheap imitations. all they have to do is enhance the surroundings with more detail and give each character more moves during gameplay.

  • This is NOT Go Straight remix. It's Violent Breathing remix (though they're similar).

I think there's no such a track on the Internet. I'm searching it already for a year...

Another possible thing is that the mott1982 is author of that track and he's just Rickrolling us (there is some contradictions in his comments).

  • @ZalbardRus

It can't be a remix of Violent Breathing because t doesn't sound like it at all. The closest resemblance is that the piano which has the same rhythm but its not the same chords. That rhythm is used a lot in house music. It's even in Go Straight and the stage 8 theme from SOR2

After all this time I still haven't found anything on this song =/

  • @IIC3 Well, I'm still sure it's based on Violent Breathing, but who knows for sure...

There was a comment about some people where you can hear piano stuff (Marky Mark - Good Vibrations) and vocal (You got me burnin' up by Loleatta Holloway).

Well, let's hope that someday we'll find out where to get this remix, because it's awesome!

  • @ZalbardRus

So after searching up Loleatta Holloway, it turns out that vocal sample is from her original song called "Love Sensation". The song You got me burnin' is actually by someone else. This might either be a remix of Love Sensation or it just uses that sample. So thats a start....time to search for every remix of Love Sensation and there's tons on just youtube.

  • Hmmm that choon on level 1 is different to the BOR I have.

  • buenisimo

  • where can i get a copy of your ISO file, mott?

  • its the Streets Of Rage soundtrack just lil different

  • MP3 of level 1 Please

  • Cool game. I have it on my symbian phone ;)

  • what is name or the song that i playing only in this video?

  • I what this game

  • where did you get this?

  • love that flying hammer blow and the ballerina spin kick. too bad this isn't an official game.

  • this is a remix of streets of rage stage1

  • can you put your mugen chars on this

  • Anyone know any Streets of Rage style official games for PS2?

  • in 3d; final fight, fight club, and some others, but they all stinks...

  • god hand

    is fucking amazing

  • This guys asking for the name of the song in the first level anyone help him out?

  • hehe im looking for it myself

  • It's called Ascension; it's by Coretex.

  • It's not Ascension. On all other console versions it is, but the PS2 version has a different track for round 1

  • that's a pretty nice thing going on there..

  • They need to make a new streets of rage where they can do specials for example tag team specials where you grab the enemy and the computer does the rest without having to press anything, like with street fighter4 after doing the special unleashes their combo. Axel and Adam for example unleash inferno during that time on whoever's in the little circle created around them when they grab the enemy to pull off the move.

The camera goes everywhere damn my imagination lol!

  • i have this game it kick asses

  • i get tmnt from this game

  • i wont to download the game but the music first it would sound good in my convertible..

  • Okay, bitches fighting and eating shit out of trash cans....nobody finds this repulsive???

  • NOPE :D

  • now this is theft i think, Beats of Rage = Street of Rage, coicedence I think not, and the sound effect and time and life bar layout is from SoR and they just rececyle King of fighters here lol

  • Duh dude, it's obviously a game a fan of SoR made for the PS2, this is not an actual game at gamestop. CMON MAN.

  • Do you want me to knock the shit out of you by duct taping a meat tenderizer to my fist and pretend to megaman and punch you in the fucking gut, dumbass?

  • Where i can download PAL version?

  • sorry to tell you...the music track was made, just for the game.

  • wow this game is awsome. Can somebody tell me how to get it and how to do it?

  • why the fuck wasn't this song on the Dreamcast version. That's one of the reasons I bought it.

  • you bought?

Dude u got ripped off.. its free..

  • @Iori400 no, I know it's free and I had a shitty downloaded version but the guy I bought it from does custom work and made a hot case for it. Anyways, I don't feel I got ripped off and it works better than my downloaded version so. I can give you a link to his flickr page. He does some f****** great work.

  • He wouldn't by any chance be in the UK would he?

  • @Truck111 yes he is. I bought something from him on Ebay for my Dreamcast and he told me what he does so that's how I got to know him.

  • @Iori400 btw the disc I bought is beats of rage mega remix. Includes 9 games: Beats of Rage Xtra, Beats of Rage Remixed, Hyper Final Fight 1, Hyper Final Fight 2, Hatchet Ninjaz, Dragons of Rage, Alien Vs Predator, Double Dragon Extreme and Rage of the Streets

  • lol Kula??? awesome!! but 2 chicks and a dude.. they should have made it it the other way..instead of mandy or shoudl i say Blue Mary , they should have use K'!! still this is BADASS!!

  • "go straight" is the name of the song.

  • ya but must be remix of it

  • The person above me is right it's a remix of the first level from Streets Of Rage 2. I know this because I made an episode of The Retro Files about this game series and used to have it on virtual console and a demo on Xbox Live arcade

  • I saw Beats of Rage being sold at the supermarket.... obviously pirated and distributed though.

  • Hey I downloaded the file for the PS2 but when I burnt it and played it my PS2 couldn't read the disc. I checked the FAQ and that said not to copy as a file, but use "the appropriate burning program." I don't know what that is or how to go about getting and using it. Any suggestions?

  • You need to use a program that can burn an ISO image file directly to a disc. "ImgBurn" is a nice free program for that purpose. Go to "imgburn(dot)com" to download it.

  • Ok cool I did that, but now I have to convert it somehow to a ISO, because when i downloaded it, it came out as a .rar

  • *facepalm*

How long have u been on the internet my friend? :)

.rar is just like .zip files; they compress the files so that it takes up less space on your Hard drive. I'd reckon 80% of all the files you're gonna download on the net will be in .rar.

Your Iso file is in the .rar file. You'll need to download a program called winRAR. Google for it. Now open the .rar file and extract to .iso file. From there, follow mott1982's advice.

  • Yeah I realized I was being stupid an hour after I posted that. X(

All I had to do was paste it into the program I downloaded and convert.

    Thanks though

  • Oh and about the music, It's definately a remix. I don't know what it's a remix of, but there is a way to find out.

What you want to do is find a way to get to the program's "gut files," which is basically a bunch of folders containing gibberish that makes the game work. There should be a Soundtrack or Music file somewhere, and then all you have to do is play the songs in that folder until you find the right one. Hope this helps.

  • It's a remix of one of the streets of rage stages.

Nice description there. If you're using the computer long enough, those "gibberish" files will start to make sense. And usually they're all named according to function. Took me 4 years to figure that out though XD

To extract the remix, you have to look into the core files. The first best thing to do is to look for the "sound" folder. The music may be in a different format, so use VLC or Windows Media Player Classic to play them.

  • @mott1982 Ok so I just download the PS2 version of this game, then burn the image to the disc and it will play on my PS2? Is it that simple or is there more to it?

  • @Igotopinions where did u download the file from

  • @Igotopinions ok song name what is it?

  • can you play this game on pc and were do you download ?

  • LOVE this music.

  • shermie, yashiro, ralf, etc. as pawn characters? wow using king of fighter chars is interesting with this genre

  • but somehow it works...

  • WTH!?

  • Its a remix of a salad shooter

  • So how do I go about playing this on my PS2 then?

  • aint never seen shit before...damn

  • Streets of whores SOW

  • LOL! wtf it's like an anime version of Streets of Rage.. where'd you find this game?

  • Very Good.

  • Can somebody tell me how do you get these to work on your PS2 console?

  • Streets of SNK

  • Can somebody may tell me where i can d/l the 1st stage sound ? I very like it

  • sounds like a remix of "The Streets" from Streets of Rage 2 first level.

  • it seems to be a remix from sweet vibrations or something like that from Marky mark wich is mark walberg the actor

  • that's SoR1.stage 1 for SoR2 is called "Go Strait"

  • wow very nice game. I like the hair of the girl and his moving.

  • why is the music here different from the dreamcast version?

  • OMEGA RUGAL ??

  • Opening Title: Yuzo Koshiro - Main Theme Drum 'n' Bass Mix

  • I know that all too well. What I would like to know is the music during the second part of this video...

  • The music for the first stage is Ascension, by Coretex.

It costed me a lot to figured it out but finally anyone can have it! =)

  • Ascension is from the PC version not the PS2 Version

  • So this song we are hearing in the vid is not Ascension? Also I couldn't even find that song anywhere. I really want the one that is played in this vid though.

  • LOL.. The Intro sounds Like Shenmue

  • That's right, it's the music intro from Shenmue.

  • The song sounds alot like Marky Mark's good vibrations, an early 90s hit, it could be some sort of underground remix. I've heard it before. anyway this is nothing like SOR, but still pretty cool.

  • Hey mott1982, good video. thanks for uploading this.

Have a few questions for you:

    1) did you figure out the name of that song that plays in the first level?

    2) is this track from the original PC version or is it specific to just PS2? the Dreamcast version doesn't have this song.

    Thanks!

  • No, I never did figure out the name of that song. Still would like to know it though. Been looking all over the web for it... I've played the PC version of this and it's nowhere to be found. I've never actually played the PS2 version (too much hassle to put a mod chip in my PS2), I just found this video online and posted it here.

  • What is so exciting about people using sprite rips?

  • It's really quite simple: sprite rips are cool.

  • they must put Terry Bogard too or I will never play this game that look really good! (and this is something that hurts my heart, that game looks really good, but no Terry Bogard...)

  • No Terry Bogard... the nerve of some people...

  • LOL this is like streets of rage wth sk/ king of fighters characters lol

  • mandy?

  • The music is great and the enemies look good too. The characters however, look REALLY homosexual, no where near as cool as Axel, Blaze, Shiva

  • The music sounds like the song for SoR2s theme park level mixed with another song.

  • Yeah I agree, it is SoR music but remixed.

  • wow! this is really well made. the music is really consistent with the action of the game. "Beat em' up" style games are rarely developed nowadays.

  • I tried looking for it too, I believe though it is a remix of some sort. It sounds like it is a remix of one of the stages of either Streets of Rage 1 or 2. I thought it was the beach level in 1, but other remixes that were

from the first level in 2 sound quite similar to this. My advice would be to check any gaming websites that do remixes and look through the libraries of SOR 1 and 2. Till then, I'll keep my ears open.

  • is there somewhere to get a soundtrack of this?

  • I also got to know what's the name of the song! I want to play this so bad! =/

  • put the cd disc in your computer open the disc and look for the songs it should be a music/sound folder n there somwhere

  • go to game options e choose "display music name", the name will appears in the beginnig of the level in the botton of the screen if the maker of the game put in the game.

  • Actually, I tried that already. The names of the songs don't show for all the levels for some glitchy reason. Ah well, thanks for trying anyway. :)

  • I got the Dreamcast Version.

  • would have posted this video anyways ^^

  • If anybody knows the name of the song that's playing during this video's second half, then please let me know! I like it quite a bit and I've been driving myself a little nuts trying to find out the name of it. I'm hoping somebody here recognizes it.
