Absolutely brilliant. Smokie had a lot of hits back then and this was up with their best! I think that Smokie were a Bradford band, But Chris Norman is from Redcar in North Yorkshire (just down the road from me) I think.

Smokie - a fantastic band.The guys are so cool too watch.It's sad but true, technology has changed the world. Video clips are now so perfected and false. Not like watching Smokie in the 70's so cheeky and natural. Chris Norman is - eye candy - makes my heart swoon when I watch him. I feel like a young girl again and he is singing to me.He's just gorgeous!

Catchy song, but I can't believe that was mimed back in '77!! I mean look at the clobber they are draped in, looks more like '74-'75 at a push.

Was'nt all that glam looking outrageous clobber gone by then? The Clash were releasing their first album, The Jam too and The Sex Pistols. I suppose it took a while for that Mott the Hoople look to get lost for good.... the lyrics are a bit dated though 'Baby i'd die for you..' (yea right)
