This was during 2006 season,a period where Kimi decided to chill out and have fun in spite of focusing in winning races.I remember in the Monaco Gp after he retired he went to his yacht with a couple of friends and got drunk.He probably had his mind clear because he knew he was passing to Ferrari in the next year and decided to give himself some rest to charge his energies for the upcoming season in which he became champion.GREAT KIMI.

It annoyed me when the Ferrari drivers (Massa and Mimi) wouldn't talk to anyone before for nearly a whole season or two. They seem to forget where F1 miney comes from. Look at MotoGP. Most riders will talk even after they've put their helmets on, and requires the same amount of focus, so no excuse! :P
If anything, MotoGP riders use more focus than F1 drivers over the whole length of the race, as in motogp if you make a mistake, you don't just go onto the grass abit, it normally ends in the rider falling off and braking something.
Those years in F1 drove me mental, as far too many of the drivers were WAY too stuck up, and again forgot that their wages are paid mainly by the tv companies, and people that watch the sport. This years F1 was VERY different to those though
@grandmasterj5 yes, though the TV companies and sponsors give them a lot of their wages, the top drivers dont give a crap about the money. yes they like to have it (who wouldn't) but if they were told they would get no money for a season, they would still be on the limit. When they are at the track, they are either talking to engineers about setup/strategy, or thinking about it themselves, or just phsycing themselves up for the drive. they dont want reporters coming up to them at this time.
@samiojo Well, my reply would be that again, Motogp riders/motorcycle racers nearly always give interviews on the grid before races, even after they've got their helmet on and just about to start the warm up lap. They require the same focus and concentration as any F1 driver. These guys in F1 were just FAR to stuck up in those seasons. The last couple of years it has improved in F1.

It annoyed me when the Ferrari drivers (Massa and Mimi) wouldn't talk to anyone before for nearly a whole season or two. They seem to forget where F1 miney comes from. Look at MotoGP. Most riders will talk even after they've put their helmets on, and requires the same amount of focus, so no excuse! :P

If anything, MotoGP riders use more focus than F1 drivers over the whole length of the race, as in motogp if you make a mistake, you don't just go onto the grass abit, it normally ends in the rider falling off and braking something.
Those years in F1 drove me mental, as far too many of the drivers were WAY too stuck up, and again forgot that their wages are paid mainly by the tv companies, and people that watch the sport. This years F1 was VERY different to those though

@grandmasterj5 yes, though the TV companies and sponsors give them a lot of their wages, the top drivers dont give a crap about the money. yes they like to have it (who wouldn't) but if they were told they would get no money for a season, they would still be on the limit. When they are at the track, they are either talking to engineers about setup/strategy, or thinking about it themselves, or just phsycing themselves up for the drive. they dont want reporters coming up to them at this time.

@samiojo Well, my reply would be that again, Motogp riders/motorcycle racers nearly always give interviews on the grid before races, even after they've got their helmet on and just about to start the warm up lap. They require the same focus and concentration as any F1 driver. These guys in F1 were just FAR to stuck up in those seasons. The last couple of years it has improved in F1.
