  • I was there in 1989 when the wall came down. I was stationed in the Fulda Gap and patrolled the border there where there were only fences.

No, the pieces of the wall can never represent freedom just as the wooden cross does not represent the freedom of Christ.

Now I live n the border of US/Mexico and see new fences erected daily and pieces of fence do not represent freedom.

  • It is amaizing to see this happen and is hard to believe that it's been 20 since it went down. I do remember "picking from the other side". Los Angeles keeps proving tho be the place where things happen. Congratz to Wende Museum, Concilman Tom LaBonge and Artists that made and will make the wall to be the symbol of freedome once again!

  • Absolutely terrrific!

  • Beautiful video and my salute of respect to the extraordinary people at the Wende Museum and Councilman Tom LaBonge. Who would have believed all this would happen. We must never forget what that wall stood for and how different it seems now that it is in Los Angeles.

  • An icon of oppression, the Berlin Wall, has metamorphosed into an icon of freedom, a reminder that The People will be heard! It is fitting that its introduction into Los Angeles begin with the workers. DameEdithDivine endorses this video and awards it five stars.
