Personally I feel that Lucy got married to Rob to further her career, nothing else, there's no chemistry there at all... whilst her & Renee have tons & tons of chemistry.

Renee got married simply 'coz she knew she had no chance with Lucy, since Lucy decided to get a comfortable life for herself & her kids, I see Lucy is just very practical person in doing so.

If Lucy & Renee were to be together that would have ruined their careers, not like they have much of a career now, just sad really.

I think Rob was kind of an ass to Renee.. anyone else agree? He was kind of snappy with her when she was like, "I think there should've been some contact" like a kiss or holding hands. He was a bit snappy with his reply =P don't be snappy with Ren! She's a goddess!

@rockerchick76 no, I think that's just rob. He's very straight to the point and focused. I will say, the seating arrangement was terrible. They should have stuck with the original seating. Because Lucy and Ren have a thing about contact, they need to see eachothers expressions, and Renee couldn't do that with Rob setting in the middle. Rob talks wayyyyyy to much, his mouth opens and spills way too much info, people don't always like that.

Lucy does seem bored here. Maybe she wasn't feeling well...or just not feeling in the mood. For whatever reason she's not very into it. I've noticed that about Lucy though...she's either very up and animated or settled back and subdued. Usually the former. Either way I love her!

i dont know if it is just me but this has nothing to do with lucy being married to rob, but in general whenever they do a commentary it just seems like when it is just lucy and renee they are more relaxed and easy going and joke around. Then when it is them with rob they seem more uncomfortable about commenting on things and dont act like they do if it is just them two!

Sergenthair, I totally agree with what you're saying concering Rob. After all he produced this awesome show! Without him I don't think we would have seen Xena and Gab the way we did. I think he's always been very supportive of their characters and relationship. He might not be the best looking chap on earth but I'm sure he's a great guy and very special and kind. Also it sounds as if Lucy had a bit of a cold here so maybe that's why she's not as enthusiastic as Ren and Rob. Just my twopence :-)

I don't think it's that simple since Gabrielle clearly didn't want to live the life she had in her home, Xena was a means to escape but she might have done it on her own as well.

And that prison scene screamed for kiss, shame they didn't put it there.

I disagree with Renee as well on the notion that Gabrielle would never have been a playwrite if Xena wasn't in her life in some way or another. Like Lucy and Rob said, Gabrielle would have just married Perdicus and been a housewife in her hometown. It was Xena that insipired Gabrielled to journey/follow her destiny.

So in a way, this doesn't add up with the first episode of the show.

@hiddenstrength See, I think she could have been a playwrite. I know Xena has said it before on the show, once Gabrielle sets her mind to something nothing stops her. Gabrielle truly didn't want to marry Perdicus at first. If Xena hadn't shown up I think she would have found another way to get out of the wedding. Even in the first episode you saw how she stood up for herself against her dad and Perdicus. She's smart, she would've figured something out, I think.

Fun to watch...thank you! I adore Lucy and Renee. They just captivate me. But I have to say Lucy sometimes says things that bother me. Such as her response to a kiss during the prison scene "we hardly know each other." This entire episode is about the two of them falling completely in love with each other to the point of sacrificing lives for the other yet Lucy says a kiss in the prison scene wouldn't have been good because they hardly know each other? I dunno...just bothers me. But I LOVE her!!
