i actually get alittle down when i watch successful producers in the industry.. I went to school for this play multiple instruments etc etc but strongly dislike mainstream music, pop, hiphop etc etc.. Being from the NY area every Major label and studio is only Hiphop and pop.. I don't want to give up completely on music, but Europe might be the place to go.....

So mixing engineers use the same reverb unit on all the channels just diferent amounts? If thats the case it makes sense cuz its like virtually putting everything into the same room. Great Vid, Post More

No you can still use Plug ins on SSL mixing boards. but you dont really need to unless your tryna get some sound that you arent smart enough to get manually

the funny shit is thats why at the studios i have worked at there is always a PS3 or Xbox 360 chillin in the lounge, after awhile your ears cant hear the slight differences in frequencies so u need to get out and do something else

If you listen closely i don't think "he" duplicated the kick.i think B.Cox just layered them while producing this track. what you saw was him eq the 'bottom' kick the darkest one, if you listen the other kick is doing a totally different pattern than the duplicate. he may have used 3 different kicks as he usually does in his production. he at least uses two for the most part.

Actually I never liked Cubase, I'm more of an old analogue and/or Pro Tools guy myself. As a matter of fact I couldn't stand the whole idea of DAWS when PT LE hit the scene. That was until i tried it. But to answer your question. I wouldn't be mixing it on anything becasue I haven't had a rig of my own since the 001 was out. I've done and still do some sessions with HD and some other goodies at other studios though (Off and On, want my own rig again).
