Bill, So you changed the diameter of the blades, and you picked up torque and lost a few RPM? Did you raise the height of the tower too? Three phase? Can you share the particulars on the rotor diameter, steel thickness, # stator windings, wire size, number of turns, and type and # of magnets you used? Did you make your own blades? Hub type? Too many questions? Nice job!
Are you in the North West? Can you use that entire clearing? Have you tried it at other locations in the clearing? Dual rotor axial flux alternator?

Yep Pacific North west on the Eastern Side of Wasington State. I have chaged the rotor to a larger(TSR=6) rotor.
Now works like a champ! Yep dual Statored Axial Flux Alternator that will switch in when very high winds are present.
