Why would you turbo a is-f? It already has all of it's torque at the top of the rev range. Not hatin', just wondering why you didn't supercharge and get the extra power right away to smooth out the torque curve. Thats pretty much the IS-F's only drawback.

@iamscoutstfu It's a rear mounted turbo with 104+ feet of piping, AKA, it's just for bragging rights and sound. The ONLY sucky thing about the IS-F is the lack of serious aftermarket tuning options. There's ZERO turbo/super charger kits out there. Apparently it's not too difficult to fit one, it's just near impossible to crack the Lexus ECU and properly tune the car. The only IS-F's with superchargers are crazy expensive, show car one-off jobs that hardly add any real power gains.

@luvmakingfunofu Lol MY is350 is supercharged I dropped a procharger unit into it a year ago after reading up on foxx marketings supercharger is350C. Complete with Megan pipes and a piggy back (yeah you can gat at the ECU with one, but only an MAPECU 3 so far as I'm aware and even then only the most basic modifications can be made) I spent around eight grand for parts and install. But you're right, every FI on the IS line is going to be a one-off custom job

@iamscoutstfu Yeah I'm not saying it's impossible, there's a few 06+ IS's with FI floating around, but after reading through some of the forums it seems like even when you supercharge the IS350, you can only expect about 50 more hp. My point is that no "kits" exist like they do for other cars, it's all custom. You got a great deal because the last SC I read about cost $12k and only added 50-55 hp because of problems with tuning the ECU. It's crackable, but just barely.

@luvmakingfunofu Yeah a KIT will cost you 12 grand easy. but if you just grab a S/C, fab or order the piping/intercooler you can do it relatively cheap, like I said around six or seven grand. And with that you get to choose the diameter of your plumbing which is what limits the kits to 50hp. running 2.5 inch pipes I can pull a good 100hp from the SC. The car will do it's own F/A management to accommodate the S/C which is awesome

I know the car will compensate for certain variables, like a different exhaust/intake/header, but not for anything crazier than that. I WANT to be wrong though, can you point me to any information regarding SC's that get 100+ hp from IS-F's?

Now yes it's a SEMA car but I called the guy up who did the install (which took two days for him!) and he said it's basically his daily driver. I asked him what he was pushing out for HP and he said "something in the low 400's" and, like you I expressed doubt. then he sent me the dyno sheet and I decided to do what he did lol. Now this is not an IS-F of course...but same principle.
