I remember watching this, and not knowing it was a MOCKumentary. Man, I was shocked.

I really thought this was a real documentary when I saw it on TV; I didnt see the whole thing from the beginning and I've never seen any of the people before. Plus as a teacher I can say they were pretty accurate, especially the Soc St teacher, I worked with a Language Arts teacher who was JUST like that here in Baltimore City!

I've taught around austin, and when this came out, it really did show the true side of the frustration that new educators feel (I only know about Texas)...It was a well done film for staged settings that express the frustrating times. But every teacher knows that there are the exact opposite times. You go to work not with worry, not with frustration, but with hope. The difficulty only highlights how great it can be...the end:P

Are teachers really that dumb? I did not think it was funny. They were so deficient at so many levels, that it's hard to believe that THESE folks are actually standing in front of a class...... wow! Number one, they should learn so say a full sentence without the ahhh, umm. Watching them eat as they sit together, one wonders if they themselves got any 101 rules as to how to behave in front on other people. The teachers that lost their cool in front of the class...... bad.

u obviously dont understand, i am in school to become a teacher and its alot harder then u might think, try standing in front of a class of defiant kids that think they know more than you and try to not loose it. Also these are all first year teachers in the movie.

I think you've misunderstood the premise of the movie. The people acting in the movie also wrote and directed it. They are actors, not teachers. The idea is that this is a mockumentary in the style of The Office.

Unfortunately I don't believe Jonny (Coach Webb) or Troy (Lowrey) are in any other movies. I believe they're primarily stage actors.

Since they live in NY and I live in Missouri, I'm probably not the best source of info, though. (But I did get to see them over the summer and get my copy of Chalk signed. They really are awesome people. :) )
