A baby cannot 'survive' an abortion because abortions are performed in the first weeks of pregnancy before the cells have grown and developed sufficiently to produce a viable being. It is ridiculous to even use the word 'baby' for a tiny embryo; at 5 weeks, it is only two millimetres long and shaped something like a tadpole.
