It was in October. Best time of the year to my opinion for sharks in South Egypt. I've seen Threshers several times in the Brothers, always more or less at the same location : over the plateau at the south of Small brother or just before reaching it, drifting from the North on the eastern side. If you want to maximize your chances, I would advise you to go deep down directly over the plateau. They tend to hover around the plateau at 50m and come up from time to time. This one was at 25-30m.
What a gorgeous specimen. If you love this girl and want to protect her i suggest watching the movie shark water.
As disturbing as it is to see these sharks being killed along with 'Great whites' a.k.a the white pointer shark, and other 'dangerous sharks' for nothing but their fins.
