  • Rotary power!! FTW!! (Literally!!)

  • Got to give it to mazda for such a strong motor, perlifrial port 13b all factory built bulletproof performance....go the rotor.

  • These rotary Mazda Rx-7's are not your normal race cars,as they have 2 rotars and a chamber.

  • @21Wook75 WRONG. LOL, where do people come up with this NON-SENSE??!! LMFAO!! Its too funny!!

  • I just had a thought about it.

In 1982 Moffatt said at Bathurst that his car had about 260hp, so maybe in 1981 when the car debuted it could of had 250hp.

He raced the 1982 car for most of the 1983 Australian touring car season up to the race at Adelaide International raceway, when his car weighed 1002kg.

His car weighed 960kg after that for the rest of the 1983 season.

So from this I think that it probably weighed 1002kg in 1981, as it lost weight in 1983.

  • What was the weight and power of Moffatt's RX-7 in 1981?

  • Wish I had a copy of this great race, and one day i might take my first gen 7 around bathurst, Long live the rotary!!
