I really have enjoyed the Pella Marching band over the years. They have put on some amazing shows. I remember there were years where they marched around 220 members. That is amazing for a school that only has about 600 kids.
I too am an alumni, and agree with my classmates. We CAN win at valley. We did the last two years. Yes, we HAVE LOST there before. Waseca is very talented and independence has had very strong shows. There is always a chance of a bad show. (Considering all shows are live, and not prerecorded) Sometimes a band will not give their best performance. Our success is nothing but a product of hard work. Dutch Pride!
Oh, okay That's cool. Sorry these arguments had to be on your video. Thanks for supporting our band. I'm glad you like the cadence. The drums do an awesome job!
As an alumni of the Marching Dutch it saddens me that someone would insinuate that our success was based off anything but the hard work and dedication that the band's members have in upholding the Dutch's legacy of success.
In regards to SaphireDisc's claim that we have "re-used" our show: 2009's show was "States of Mind". The previous shows were "Voices of the 60s", "From the Earth to the Moon", "A Night at the Casbah", and "Latin Sketches". The year prior to my stint was "Phantom of the Opera"
I was in many of the Pella band ensembles(Jazz 1+2, marching band, symphonic band, and many others) Pella did win there class at Valley. I know that all of the bands success(jazz, marching, ect) is from hard work, practice, dedication, blood, sweet, and tears, from the students and staff. As for this Knoxville person, I have no kind words to say, so I won't say anything in regards to them. In the words of Penitco "DUTCH PRIDE!"
I'll never forget that cadence
