@pumpedorange No, you're not sorry, because if you were, you wouldn't have said it. And you're probably not gay either, because no self respecting gay person would use the word as an insult, let alone use it to say something is stupid. Unless you're using it to mean stupid when referring to yourself, in which case, "to each his own".
I'm fully aware that my writing was completely at its worst here, but do yourself a favor a take some lessons in common decency.
@DoctorWhoFan93 You're right, i apologise. i ussually say things are lesbian.....but people dont understand what i mean...hence gay. (i am gay btw). i just found it really mushy, although i understand what you were trying to do,.
the perfect ending! Er, no to be honest, i dont think the doctor would be the doctor if he really said that and to be honest having donna keep her mind and continue travelling is my idea of a nightmare :P
I like this version! Although it might have been a bit out of character for the Doctor, I still loved it! It was much more romantic than the other one. The ending of series 4 annoyed me alot, because the Doctor was left on his own. Again. I don't care if people say it's more realistic the way it was, he deserves a happy ending!!
A bit confusing..I keep getting the 1 doctors mixed up towards the end of tit but I like it. bte, Remember me fromt he LAbyrinth video? BTw, LOL levae otu the kisses..Now that is funny! But I agree with you on another point, why couldnt he have just removed the time lord parts of Donna! WHY!!! Lol
Aww I would have loved that.... so romantic! but i dint think us hould change donnas memory, they need to keep moving on.. I cried and cried in the real version...
Afraid i disagree with most of the comments here. I think this ending is quite naieve, the Doctor's world doesn't work like this. This ending would have left me feeling pretty flat and not wanting more. Bad stuff happens, people loose out, RTD's version was much better (although rushed) and feels more real than this. Sorry don't mean to be harsh, just my opinion.
I agree with everything you've said and I have to admit, even though the ending to the Doctor and Rose story is still very much incomplete(RTD's version)....I prefer it that way....adds to the tragicness and loneliness of the Doctor's life....
It was okay, but not very realistic. I mean, I personally thought the ending for Journey's End was fine (although bittersweet). You should probably spell check your work though. Two examples would be genocide and separated.
i wish it had happened that way ooooo but sum of it was pure cheese! but cheese is good but it dusnt really go with doctr who! i don't see why they coudn't hav just wiped the last 24 hrs or sumthin of her memory and then donna leaves 4 a bit coz grampa get's sick and then she can come into a few specials or sumthin!!! ahhhh that would hav been a nicer endin!
lol, yeah i know it's really cheesey, but as i said in my comments next to the vid, it was like 2:00 a.m. when i started writing, so i was pretty tired, and i had just watched the real ending a few hours before, so i was still compleetly heart-broken and fumeing mad about it... and yeah, i also think it would have been good if he'd just wiped the last 24 hours instead of her entire time with him...RTD is plain evil...
To be honest, I actually reckon this is better than the one they used. I think Russell just needed it quickly cos he was already considerably over time with the episode lol, but yeh, definately a lot happier, I was dissapointed by Rose's exit and this makes it feel alot better. Nice work.
i like this. but i also like the actual ending as well. i think this one has the happy ever after that we all wanted between the doctor and rose. but the actual one has the pain and suffering that the doctor has to go through. he has to in a way go through it, cos hes not human, hes alien, he can never really experience human emotions, in which the other doctor can, and thats why he says he loves her.
thanks. i really don't agree with all the people that say the doctor "has to go through pain and suffering" but your comment is appreciated none the less
I think its a good ending differnt ppl have differnt ways of writing and there nothing wrong with the doctor saying "i love you" its just saying what he thinking and staying with donna is great. awesome job
This is wonderful. It's nice to read something the old fashioned way. Although I knew Moffat and Davies wouldn't give us something happy at the end (although they did supply us with a kiss!) it was depressing that the doctor is even more alone.
To watch your vid made me smile - fans everywhere will love this.
THANKS.
Like fishyfotos says - can't wait for more of your work...
I hope I am not coming across nasty, because I don't mean anything like that. I'm just trying to give you some pointers to help you with your writing. Cheers!
...I used to write this way, too. I used to be the Happy Ending queen, but as soon as I started making the characters make hard descions, instead of taking the easy way out, my writing became 100% better. Tip: always make sure you stay true to the character, what they are about & be mindful of what they would actually say & how they'd express themselves & you are already 90% on the way to becoming BRILLIANT!eg. The Doctor is NOT a words man when it come 2 expressing his emotions.
I'm sorry, that is just really... bad... writing. Too flowery, too much, "I love you," yada yada and WAAAY out of the Doctor's character. The way it ended may have been heartbreakingly, gut-wrenchingly sad, and I still cry when I watch it,but I very much love the ending of Journey's End the way it is. To be a good writer, you need to be hard on the subject matter and put the chatacters through tests and conflict and challenges, otherwise... it's just a bit rubbish....
OMG that is way way better then how it ended its so much happier!! i love it at 1:41 when u put oy cuz he does say that! It made me laugh the bit where the dr tells the other dr 2 tell her about everything thats happend except from the kisses lol! And donna does not have her memory whiped yey! :) im so glad u have made it happier cuz on the original i cried he left rose again & i cried when donna got her memory whiped so thanx 4 making it alot happier and well done i love it!!
I liked the 'oi' myself - that was also my reaction to Rose fawning over the original Doctor. 'Hello, standing right HERE.'
On the other hand, I did think parts of the prose was terribly hearts-and-flowers... which some people liked, and that's fine. Something quiet like 'you could spend the rest of your life with me, but i can't spend the rest of mine with you' variety just seems more fitting to me, for *this* Doctor.
(First a tiny critique-- next time, run your dialogue through a spellchecker, please-- it will add dramatic punch, ok? *Not mean, just a critique!*)
Next-- YES. Very YES. Made of WIN! That would have made the ending a JILLION times better!!! EVEN if Doctor/Donna was still written out *GRR!* the whole Rose/alt.Doctor would have been more satisfying with THIS kind of conclusion! VERY good!
*sigh* i think it's because the writers just enjoy torturing the doctor...yeah, i'm still bitter about the real ending...i would probly have gotten over it by now if they hadn't basicly killed off donna right after he lost rose AGAIN...talk about kicking him when he's down. thanks for commenting, and sry about my little rant there. lol
good 1. it just fekt wrong when she kissed the other doctor right in front of the real doctor in the actual episode. it was a dramatic ending but it just didnt feel rite lol.
I don't know, this would have been perfect for me two nights ago when I was bawling about the ending but now I've accepted it :p But this is still great and overall, infinitely better than what really happened! Hey this song isn't from Love Actually is it?
