@MrEthekyaa : My god yes. I've seen an Anesthesiologist student get an ass whoppin for calling out minute insignificant "inefficiencies" to a well-seasoned Surigcal Assistant in the OR. After he was scrubbed in, the SA turned and took two steps towards a Rep to have him spin around. This dolt left the now anesthedized patient to inform the SA "You shouldn't do that, you'll heighten the risk of contanimation moving around." He got chewed for leaving the patient, THEN got chewed by the doctor.
I'm over it! I'm finishing my 3rd year of rotations now, and I'm tired of acting like I don't want to do these procedures. At the end of the day, this is my job. Sure, puting catheters in and taking stool samples is disgusting, but I want to be good at my job, including the nasty stuff. It's when you do this work but don't get any learning in return. Any resident that makes you work too much without teaching you in the process is a dick that deserves to be stood up to. Don't be afraid to so no!
