I wish to thank you for this video. I grew up in Marquette in the '40s and '50s and remember my mother telling me about L G Kaufman. Her father owned a Finnish bath house in Marquette, and Kaufman and Peter White and the others were customers of his. This brings back a lot of memories.
In 1961 my friend Drex Biddle took me to Granot Loma where his mother and Mr Martin took us for a tour. I saw the birch bedroom where Drex was born and remember tales of the turkish baths and laundry building. There were two Steinway concert grands in one of the living rooms.
