ele da uma miguelada ai hein o fripp toca bem mais nota...se nao estou enganado ele toca as mesmas notas do tema soh q bem mais rapido...ai ele omite varias
This is a really solid attempt to figure out and play the fast parts to the song, but it's nearly all wrong. You're missing out on a lot of notes that Fripp plays. Check out the tab section at elephant(DASH)talk(DOT)com. They have it transcribed perfectly. Good job here, nonetheless. Transcribing Fripp is rarely easy.
Thank you. No tabs or anything. I learn these things by ear. It's not that difficult at all. Take it slow. It's just a basic minor blues scale with some jazz elements in between.
It gives this old Crimson follower (from the very outset) a real blast to see someone so young getting into this stuff - and doing good things with it.
It's all well and good to remember what it was all like . . . but it's fantastic seeing it being re-interpretted by a younger generation.
Sorry for this late reply. Your comment made my day actually. I'm not just trying to do these things all over again, but I'm trying to continue where it ended because of the punk and disco generation. Obviously it's not a plan that will help me get by in life, but it is and probably always has been an inner passion.
Good job, Urban. It is very encouraging to see someone as young as you being a fan of the great King Crimson and other prog legends. I am a huge King Crimson fan and would like to see you do Frame by Frame, Three of a Perfect Pair or any other Crimson song. There are so many to choose from. Thanks for the comment on my Primeval video as well.
thanks! I'm glad you keep your mind open for different genres. The songs you ask for are quite hard to play. Since I haven't developed my picking so well yet I kind of prefer playing the early KC. First four albums that is. I'm a great mellotron fan as well, so that's one of the reasons why I top that over the rest hehe. Keep on rocking!
you need to work on placing your accents (the song has a heavy focus on syncopation and the key notes are all hard to time) but still it's wonderful to see people actually playing good music on youtube
I believe you're right. I get scared every time I record it so It actually took me about 10 takes to do it haha! I'll do it perfect next time, I promise.

Nice video man LOVE King Crimson. I'm trying to pick the main riff out by ear, do you know what key this is in? It would help me a bunch thanks.

@3li0tZ Thanks. It's a blues scale in G minor and when it goes into C you have a major dorian scale...I think. =)

keep it up. representing the prog bands.
Remember, it's not all about the guitar solo; that said throw some drums in there, helps you keep timing.
